Stopped by for hands down the freshest and tastiest salad bowl I've ever had. I got kale salad with rice and salmon, lemon dressing. Big portions. Delicious, they whipped it up right there in front of me. Great staff! I wanted to go back just to thank them! Id have a photo but I couldn't stop eating it!

Was in town for some errands and Fresh Urban Plate was on my way. Stopped in for take out, got the Brisket salad. It was made while I waited, very very tasty, fresh and the meat was seasoned perfectly. Next time I will plan my route to eat there...

People interested in catering by Fresh Urban Plate beware the owner Mark is not trustworthy. Almost a year later, many promises by Mark, and court ruling against him, and he still owes over $600 on a now $3600 refund. Mark keeps reneging on this refund. He is not an honest business man.

I absolutely LOVE Fresh Urban Plate. Mark is a fantastic and passionate chef! He is a person who is clearly doing what he was meant to do. He takes such pride in his creations, the freshness of his ingredients and ensuring any food intolerances are accommodated. That's why we had Mark cater two important events for our family - he catered mine and my husband's rehearsal dinner party and my daughter's wedding. His food was literally so good at the rehearsal party I still have people talking about that meal. My soon-to-be-husband and I spoke after the rehearsal party and said "Damn, there's no way our wedding dinner is going to be that good." LOL The meal he prepared for our daughter and son-in-laws wedding was another home run. His staff at the event were lovely and so helpful. At both events he had to accommodate many food allergies and intolerances. He did this so well and made sure everyone was going to be fine with what he was serving. He offered so many great suggestions when a food item had to be changed. I can't say enough about his food at these events or how amazing it is to work with Mark. In addition, I have eaten at his restaurant and when he's served food at the farmer's markets. Sooooooo delicious! Wholesome food that packs a punch. Highly recommend this restaurant for a meal and to cater an event.

Chef Mark not only prepares amazing dishes, but he also has the experience to provide culinary variety with an attention to details. All of this is prepared and delivered with a contagious smile that blends with any crowd. I've seen him single handily prepare back to back gourmet meals for a large private gathering (100+) and have also seen him in action feeding a hungry crowd for two consecutive weeks in the Caribbean (fresh seafood, local dished, soups, brunch…). With his talent, energy and versatility you get it all!!

I popped in Fresh Urban Plate today for a takeout soup. Chef Mark Brunet did not dissapoint. The roasted vegetable soup was full of flavours, fresh for sure, and every spoonful was a delight. I asked for a bit of bread and received a couple of slivers of house made foccacia with a hearthy texture and the perfect saltiness and herbal taste you expect. I have been a customer of Urban Plate for almost five years and I am so glad to be able to go in during the week to pickup lunch or dinner to bring home. Peterborough is blessed to have talented and generous chef like Mark.

I would usually order from him at the Downtown Peterborough Farmers Market, but was so happy to hear that his store has opened up! I went in today for lunch and had a mouth watering braised beef brisket...what else can I say? It was 10/10!!
