My husband and I chose to have our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at The Beamish House in August 2023. We always enjoy having dinner here and wanted to share it with our family and friends. It was a big group and the atmosphere and service was excellent. Sydney was our server and she took very good care of us and was very attentive. The food was also amazing, it came out hot and all at once, which was very impressive for a large group. We all had a wonderful time and couldn't recommend The Beamish House more! Thank you all!!

Very poor customer service. Was told I could not order a drink or food because it was slippery out. The manager working (Shana)never heard of her but apparently been working their for 14 years denied us as staples to the community. Being a key entity in the construction field , I provide a lot more then food to port hope. Sydney was an a amazing server was above Bemish standards. I never write reviews but living in the down town core was blown away by the service given. Regret spending 100s of dollars to a local family owned company to get treated like this. Typical bar that thinks they are more then the average person. Shana o hope you see this post because you embarrassed us as a group with your poor understanding of the restraunt industry.

The food was very good but have to say service may have been touch and go with an old lady waitress who asked if I'd brought in alcohol in a contigo bottle, how rude!
We were in the "Pub" portion of The Beamish and it is all you would expect right down to the older guys playing Dominoes at the corner table.The server asked if our evenings plans included the show at the nearby Capitol Theatre. It did so they encouraged us to get our order in before the Trivia Night crowd that was gathering.Each of us were pleased with our choice which included the Canadian burger, Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and the Beef Dip. Good taps including national, international and local brews. And the wine list is reasonable too.Put this one on your list of places when in the Port Hope area.Parking: Parking is free in the evening and reasonable during the day.

This place is amazing. Totally worth the 40 minute drive. No loud music, just the sound of people talking and enjoying their food and beverages. Highly recommend!Parking: There are some on street spots available infront of the establishment. But behind is a municipal lot.
