I adopted my super sweet boy, Peanut, now Keanu, back in March 2023 and I had a wonderful experience with the staff, atmosphere, food and the cats. I became extra friendly with the cats in the photo attached and wanted to adopt them all, but left with one, Peanut (last photo). He is still as affectionate and loving as the day we first met. And, oh yes, they were all after my delicious grilled cheese sandwich, which was quite funny.I felt loved!

The atmosphere and staff are absolutely incredible. Our cat Levi is from Toe Beans, and our other cat Tutter is from I Am Loved Rescue, and they are perfect. The staff treat every cat special, getting to know each of their personalities and accommodate each cat accordingly. We will be back for another adoption in the future. We have nothing but respect for what these people do! Thank you a million times over! - Rachel & Mitchell

First time to the Toe Beans cat Café and it was a very pleasant experience. The owner and staff are very welcoming , I wish I lived nearby, and I will always be getting my matcha tea latte here. Keep spreading your positive service to local and new customers and first-timer in your Café. If we happened to drop again in Port Hope, I would definitely be saying hi ? and buying in Toe Beans cat Café.

Honestly did not like the experience. Very small, all the workers staring at you just belting out rules. One room was closed for a private event and one room was 12 and older (my daughter is 9) obv not the place fault but all cats were sleeping when we went and only one cat out of its cage roaming. Food was meh drink was meh def thought the experience was going to be different but to each their own! And the cats seem to want to escape, one in said picture was trying to jump up into the ceiling.

Cute little cafe with a great idea, but would not recommend for families with small children. We were asked to exit till the kids could calm down after our one year old was a little excited. They have a quiet room for kids 12+ but would consider the whole place a quiet room that should be 12+. Found the guy there quite irritated by the kiddos, and don’t think it should be under 3 are free if they’re not really welcomed.

Toe beans was such a great experience — the cats were so sweet and we really enjoyed our time :) the staff were also incredibly friendly and one staff particularly helped to explain and introduce the cats to all the guests (unfortunately was too focused on cats and didn’t even get his name! But would like to say thank you!).We didn’t order food or drinks (too focused on cats) but they had a good selection of coffee and some cute baked goods :)The cat theme merch was also wonderful and there was a great selection - couldn’t resist getting several pins lolWell worth the hour drive from Toronto!

I highly recommend visiting this cafe and attending their events! I went recently for one of their events, making felt kitties. Loved the atmosphere as the love of animals, creativity of supporting local artists and being good people that genuinely care seeps and radiates from every space. While there I enjoyed a warm beverage (that was so delicious I had to go for a second) and their pickle grilled cheese (which is my favourite and worth the drive of over an hour to get there) plus followed up with a wonderful brownie! My belly was full, my heart full and the guest teacher in for the event was icing on the cake, so to speak. Well run event, clean and bright environment.Thank you for being a beacon of hope for these animals and a purrfect place to go for a girls date night!

The owners of this facility are incredibly unprofessional. They have no empathy, no ability to communicate calmly or take criticism. Saving cats is great, but you have to also like people to be in the industry.
