We reserved a table 2 weeks ago, with 2 confirmations, and they still gave our table away, even we arrived early. The wait would be 1.5 hour... I will never go back... think twice going there if you have special guests...

The Har Gow, those Jumbo Shrimp Dumplings, were a real treat--succulent shrimp snugly wrapped in a perfectly translucent casing. And the Shu Mai, a mix of Shrimp and Pork Dumplings, was a flavor-packed duo that left us hankering for more. The bold move to try Chicken Feet with Special Sauce showcased the chef's talent in whipping up something both unique and delicious. The Shrimp and Vegetable Rice Roll offered a delightful mix of textures and flavors, while the Spareribs with Taro Black Bean were a genuine savory delight. The Salt & Pepper Tofu, a crunchy vegetarian option, surprisingly won over even the non-vegetarians among us. Then there was the Stir-Fried Chinese Broccoli with Ginger, adding a refreshing note that perfectly balanced the richness of the other dishes. But what really stood out, beyond the delightful taste, was the generous portion size.

Nowadays, Cantonese restaurants equipped with huge aquariums that are stocked with live seafood have become a common sight in the vibrant Richmond Hill/Markham Chinese culinary landscape. Nestled behind Richlane Mall, inside a secluded open-air strip plaza, atop of a small knoll, houses another such establishment. Tonight’s dinner gathering, organized by another family member, is a follow-up to last week’s going-away party. This time, the quality and caliber of food has been substantially elevated! For tonight, the meal will feature a Big Kahuna.....Live Alaskan Red King Crab prepared multiple ways! As for the wines?! Since IMHO, Riesling and Crab together are part of the Creator’s plan, a fine bottle of German off-dry masterpiece to pair with the star is a requisite. In addition to another bottle of elusive perfume and style 2014 Chateau Lafite, a reliable Zenato Amarone was also added to the mix for pairing with the meat dishes. Our party of eight went through the following courses with gusto and avidity: - 9 pounds Alaskan King Crab prepared 3 ways. - Steamed legs with caramelized minced garlic on a bed of rice vermicelli - Wok fried body with Maggi Sauce - Steamed egg custard Chawanmushi with crab brains - Whole Cantonese Roasted Duck, ‘ Pei-Pa Style ‘ - Stirred fry Chinese Cauliflower with wind dried preserved meats - Braised Tofu with mixed mushrooms and Chinese Greens - Fried Pork Spare ribs with Preserved Olive Tapenade Glaze - Stirred fry beef with Chinese Kale ( Gai-Lan ) Complimentary desserts of Red bean dessert soup, Cherry flavored jello and Almond Cookies. Overall, the lovingly prepared food coupled with the superb friendly service created a highly satisfactory dinner experience. Standard of the cooking IMO ranked amongst some of GTA’s best. During the past week, I had the good fortune to savor some extremely well executed Cantonese fare, first from StarChiva and now at Oriental Bistro. Indeed, I am grateful and blessed to live within such close proximity to some of GTA finest Chinese cuisine establishments.

A nice dimsum restaurant with a beautiful décor for a great dining experience. Expect a good lineup during weekends, and I would expect a similar case for weekdays too. Although it was quite busy, the servers and front desk person who gave out waiting numbers were pretty nice. We were well informed during the wait. In terms of food, freshly steamed dishes as we can tell from the temperature and firmness. Good menu selections were available to justify the long wait, LOL! You probably would have some parking headaches when you get there. Wear a nice jacket in wintertime as it could give you a good walk in the cold parking lot. Despite the wait and parking, it is still a decent dimsum restaurant in Richmond Hill that worth recommended. Fellow Yelpers, check this place out next time when you crave some good quality dimsum dishes!

Dim sum is good. Service is normal. Like other Chinese restaurants. Ambiance is ok. Looks kinda dated. Maybe it was the way like designed it. Overall, it is an average Chinese restaurants. I will go again if other places are busy.

This is our go to dim sum place. What we like is being able to get a table without wait on weekends before 10am. Dim sum quality is good and pretty speedy. Service is attentive, they have staff actively monitoring and serving a section, so you don't have to flag someone down for tea or mustard, etc. You can also ask for a 10% off discount paying with cash.We have also come here twice this month for dinner. Tried the combo for 8 as well as their lamb combo (good for 6 people-ish). Pretty impressed with the food quality overall. For dinner, I recommend the green bass soup. It's a soup with whole fish deboned, tofu, and rich tasty white broth.

An excellent, upscale dim sum restaurant. Beef tripe, curry octopus (juicy and tender), and beef meatballs (wonderfully seasoned) were standouts and extremely well done. Har gow and siu mai were decent but closer to average. Service prompt and attentive.

Good Chinese food with good service. Came for a birthday dinner with ten people and the dishes are served Chinese banquet style - the dish is brought to your table and then served by the waiters/ waitresses per individual. The food here is good. Favourites were definitely the fried oysters in a sweet and peppery sauce. It's super peppery though, so they could use a bit less pepper. The dinner combo our table had also came with half a lobster per person baked in a garlic onion sauce and was also great! Dinner overall was so delicious and would come back for more! The interior of the restaurant is a mix between wanting to be casual but also wanting to be a bit high end? It's nothing too fancy but has potential! Overall, good authentic Chinese food and great for large parties.

Good food, good service, and good ambiance. Went for dim sum today for Canada Day. The Steamed Spare Ribs and Sausage on Rice and the Chicken and Mushroom with Fish Maw were good. Please avoid the Crispy Meat Dumpling (they were burnt!) and the Beef Tripe

I'm impressed! This dinner experience was much better than when we came for dimsum when they had first opened. All the dishes we had were pretty good. Their special duck was definitely the star - juicy meat and crispy skin. Yumm! The crab was also amazing and perfectly cooked. Service could have been a bit better with the pacing of the food being a bit too fast. Will be trying dimsum next here.

I haven't been disappointed by any old Cantonese restaurants in Toronto yet. This one is NOT an exception, either. One of my friends who grew up in Toronto took us to this restaurant. You will know it's authentic because almost all customers are speaking Cantonese. My most impressive Dim-Sum was shrimp dumplings. It was so gigantic. Plus, it only had shrimp inside without other fillings. My least favourite was Lo-Bak Go(turnip cake), it was not crispy and too soft. I suggest you can skip that one.Although it has some dishes I didn't really enjoy, it is definitely a good Cantonese restaurant. Compared to another more famous Cantonese restaurant, The One Fusion Cuisine(聚龍軒), it is less crowded and has different flavours of dishes.

Their rice rolls were silky and bouncy. Their steam dumplings were big and juicy. We were sat in their private vip room, but the service was mediocre.I would come again for a casual meal! Their dim sum is pretty solid. Typical free parking as it's located in an uptown plaza.

The short ribs are cooked too old, unable to bite, the squid's are not the proper taste. Had to call back the manager to offer to try. Eventually it was waved but there was no discount with payment. The receipt states 10% off, since we paid cash ( which was already 10% off), we didn't enjoy the extra 10% off.

First time trying this restaurant with my family over the long weekend, and thankfully, my mother made reservations because it was packed, and we were a group of 11. When we got to our table, the first thing I noticed was that space was tight. The tables were jammed in. The servers were nice, and the service was pretty quick. We were there for dim sum, and it was easy to order it yourself on their menu sheets. We ordered 31 dishes for 9 adults and 2 toddlers, and it was slightly too much food for our group. The dim sum was good overall. Everything comes out hot and fresh. The crispy seafood roll with special red rice was new to me and quite good and innovative.
