I've been spending more time with family over the past year, usually over a good meal and/or a scenic drive. On this outing, I took my aunt and uncle for lunch at Millstone Rice Rolls in Richmond Hill.It was our first time coming here so we didn't know exactly what to expect but were more than willing to try a few dishes. I did a take out of mixed sauce rice roll and minced beef congee and the service was fast. Called ahead and my order was ready within 15 mins. The texture of the rice roll was on the chewy side, unlike the supermarket type. It was very tasty with the sauce. Quantity was so so. First time here and it was great. Place was packed. And people just kept coming and takeout orders were like a revolving door. Service was average typical of Chinese restaurants. Minimal conversation. The food was fantastic. Well made. Fresh. Made to order. The Chinese donut was so hot and fresh. Altho they forgot to bring our sesame ball and we forgot and didn’t realize till we got home. And they still charged us for it too. Boo.
