Tried the mixed seafood rice noodles and slightly disappointed. Flavour was weak and pretty pricey for what it is. I do prefer Yunshang better. But the service and decor was nice.

Recently got to try Ricey Silo and I loved how spacious and well lit the restaurant is. Their menu quite straight forward and we grabbed one original crossing bridge noodle and one tomato beef noodle. The menu comes on a sheet of paper that you can mark off.The food arrived fairly quickly and the tomato beef noodle was just alright. We really enjoyed the crossing bridge noodle though! The bowl was very hot as it should be and we got to put the toppings in ourselves versus a lot of the other places these days. The toppings are more premium than others including a slice of fish etc but the price does reflect that at around $20 for one bowl. They do not offer unlimited noodle refills but the one portion was definitely filling enough. I quite enjoyed the broth flavour as well. Highlight was the chicken cartilage appy that we got to share. It was seasoned very well and had quite a lot of pieces. It arrived piping hot and I would totally come back just for this dish!

Nice decor. Heavily air conned which is nice for a hot summer day. Good service but hard to order when not given a menu sheet per person. We had 7 ppl and had to pass the order sheet around.Service was attentive and excellent. The pork belly appetizer was excellent. Very flavorful and beautifully presented with a thin slide of cucumber between each piece. The cold sesame noodle was excellent as well. Nice blend of flavor and spice. The pork intestine, duck blood noodle was also very flavorful. Would recommendThe wagyu noodle set was mediocre. For 26$, I expected a little more than tiny slices of beef. The noodle had nice bounce and texture. The soup base needed a lot more sour cabbage to compare closer to traditional Yunnan noodles. Being from nyc, i can't believe I have to say that the nyc Chinatown version is better than the one in Richmond Hill.

tried this new rice noodle place! the restaurant had good atmosphere and friendly service. we tried the seafood and the chicken noodle bowls - wish the noodle soup base had more flavour but the side dishes were good (garlic meat and kelp).

Nothing is memorable for our lunch here. All dishes and soup noodles depend on my own personal preferences and standards. I don't satisfy with its side dish (i.e., fried pork ribs). I only felt a lot of spices integrated on top. I don't know if inflation of food cost has impacted the restaurant's owner here. Pricy for almost a dollar for one small cut and not joyful. All the rest of the ordered soup based is just fine, at least not surprising me. With many other choices, I will not make other visits. Sorry, please kindly accept my apologies.

Wagyu beef rice noodle was good, nice presentation and decent taste. Cold cut chicken with chilly sauce and original rice noodles were also well made. Service was fast on a Tuesday before noon. Got takeout for families which came fast too. A little pricy but overall good experience and worth a try!

I visited Ricey Silo for the first time and had mixed feelings about it. The restaurant was spacious and nicely decorated with bamboo elements, and the servers were attentive and friendly. They served us water infused with lemon, which made me feel like I was in an upscale place.I ordered the limited Steam Pot Silkie Chicken and Original Low Sodium Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodle, the first item on the menu marked as recommended. Unfortunately, the Steam Pot Silkie Chicken disappointed me as it was smaller than expected and was full of small bone-in chicken pieces. Still, the soup was hearty and flavourful. I think the menu should have explained the dish better. The Original Low Sodium Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodle was served on two large wooden plates, with a hot stone bowl of broth and small dishes of toppings. The soup was rich, flavourful, and not at all greasy. However, the noodles were sticky and clumpy. Also, they did not offer free refills like other Yunnan noodle places. The toppings were high quality, and I particularly enjoyed the fish fillet cooked in the hot soup. We also ordered extra Egg White Noodles, which were still clumpy but not as sticky as before. Since this restaurant specialized in noodles, I expected them to cook them properly, which was a slight disappointment.Overall, I think Ricey Silo is a decent place to try Yunnan cuisine, but it is overpriced for what it offers. The quality of the ingredients was high, but I thought it needed to provide better value for money.

Pros: - Inside is gorgeous and clean! The decor is very aesthetically pleasing and the music is traditional and instrumental. - Complimentary lemon water - Amazing broth! Not as salty as the ramen places I typically go to. - Unique presentation and interactive component of placing every ingredient into the broth - Fresh-tasting ingredients Cons: - Pricey, especially the side dishes—we ordered the spicy cold sliced beef jerky and thought they mistakenly gave us a small (taste was good but $13!) - Wagyu beef portion was small - Opt for the soup noodles, my tofu ground pork noodles was flavourful and I enjoyed the soft tofu, but it was too salty/spicy (the sauce was more like a soup which overpowered everything)

Me and family came to this place because we found out it served Crossing-The-Bridge noodles! The food was great; the Crossing-The-Bridge noodle was delicious! I had the Australian Wagyu A5 option, so it was a little bit more expensive. The meat was mazing, but the dish itself wasn't super special compared to the other restaurant we went to. The noodle bowl itself was very good. The atmosphere and service can be improved on, but overall it was an OK experience. If you're around the area of Commerce Gate, it was worth to try this place out!

During a family meetup uptown, they wanted to try a newish Rice Noodle spot instead of the usual Dim Sum. My family love crossing bridge noodles, so this caught their interest. As we entered in the morning, it was easy to grab a spot, and shortly filled up early afternoon. I love the welcoming decor. I recommend this for a family meal or a date. The book gives you instructions on how to enjoy crossing bridge noodles... I've been doing it wrong! First, dump in the quail egg yolk. To intensify the flavour, use the egg white to swirl your raw meat and tenderize it before dipping it in the soup. Then drop the other ingredients in. What we ordered (* for what we recommend.)Tomato beef stew rice noodleOriginal low-sodium crossing-the-bridge noodle*Mixed seafood Crossing-the-bridge noodle with edible flowers*Shredded chicken noodle soup I enjoyed the seafood noodle soup. The soup broth was flavourful, delicate and slightly sweet, not too salty. We all finished and drank up our soup at the end. The staff told me that Europe was still on holiday (New Year's) and that they gave me an extra slice of fish instead of the edible flowers, it should've came with. I'm surprised they have sourced their ingredients so far! No wonder the premium price point. My partner also enjoyed his chicken noodle soup. I didn't get to try their tomato or original noodle soup, though my inlaws said it was just okay. The price point is a bit higher, and there is no unlimited rice noodle like in some other comparable spots. However, we were all full and satisfied. Overall enjoyed my meal and the broth I had is really good, especially if you enjoy delicate broths. I would skip the desserts and try a side instead. The dessert has lychee or watermelon with some layered toppings on ice. The rice balls in it are good, but the rest seem like something you can get from a can. Washrooms could be serviced better as there wasn't a working hand soap spout (like the spout was sitting on the side) and you have to scrape off soap from the hole. It had a lasting impression before I left.

Overall atmosphere was great, a feeling of comfort, and we were well received -- service was good. Food itself was amazing and the process of putting the ingredients together was fulfilling! Food was slightly overpriced though.

A friend took me here to try the best rice noodle. Apparently this is what she called the most authentic Yunnan Rice Noodle place in Toronto. I ordered the signature noodle soup. The soup base is tasty and light, love the crunchy deep fried meat pieces inside which gave it a good meaty taste. The side dish portion is small but just right to go along the main meal. We ordered the spicy potato slices, just loved the spicy sauce!

It is my first time visit today (Friday). I had a short waiting for a table for three. Appetizer is in a very small portion. Hot bowl noodle is extremely hot and the soup base is tasty. However the tomato soup base which is a bit too thick. Server is fast and efficiency. Table turn over is very quick. Noodle price is slightly higher than other hot bowl noodle chain store, but it is worth to try. Parking is always hard to find during weekend in this plaza, underground parking is available.

We ordered the Tomato beef stew rice noodle soup and the soft tofu minced pork noodle. Atmosphere was nice and very clean, with friendly staff. Tomato noodle soup — the beef was very flavourful, but would’ve liked a bit more flavour in the soup. Soft Tofu minced pork noodle — Tofu was very soft and fresh, a bit of spice in the sauce but very flavourful. Warning for those with nut allergies: almost all the noodles contain peanuts.

Very fast service for a big bowl of hearty noodles. About what you would expect for Asian rice noodles. Good flavor but could use a bit more meat. Very prompt in refilling our water though!
