Had the best time here for omakase! We went during non peak hours (around 5pm) and I highly recommend to go when it's not as busy because we were the only party the chef was serving so it felt like we booked out the entire restaurant. Chef Jin was able to explain all the dishes and answer our questions about the ingredients in a lot of detail. You can he really has a passion and dedication to his craft. The ambience was very nice with jazz playing in the background. Now the food itself was amazing 10/10. My first time at omakase and wow I can really taste a difference between the sushi he serves vs. a typical sushi restaurant. He served a wide assortment of fishes I've never eaten before, they were all so fresh! The highlights were definately the super fresh and sweet uni, the fatty tuna, and truffle rice. If I could only eat 1 dish for the rest of my life, it would be that truffle rice with real truffle shaved on top.The chef and server were very accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of.Omakase can be pricey but this place was worth every penny. This would be the perfect place to take your loved ones to for any special occassion.

Beautifully presented dishes however the food and service quality was not at the $240 price point. The sushi rice was hard and the fish quality was average, we also had to constantly flag down the waitress for more tea (mind you there were only 2 parties = 4 people including us). Other than the presentation, nothing was very special.

Very enjoyable experience. I was served by chefs Jin and James, they were very professional, and the plate decorations were beautiful. I found the ingredients to be fresh and of top quality. Many of the fish served today are rarely seen locally. Lots of different cooking methods used to prepare this kaiseki delight. Service prompt and attentive.

Our large party came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The ambiance was really nice and cozy. I really liked how bright it was and it was a joy to see our chef prepare everything. We did the $160 omakase. I thoroughly enjoyed everything presented to me, and my favourite non-sushi plate was the truffle kamameshi and kasujiru - truffle mushroom rice. I would've eaten another bowl! I enjoyed the fresh fish and everything felt like it melted in my mouth. Dessert was tasty and my boyfriend even got a personalized birthday dessert! I've eaten at many omakases and this is one I would return to.

Rin had got to be one of the best experiences I've had with Japanese cuisine in Toronto. This restaurant is by far one of the best settings, service, and arrangements of food. Even though it's listed as "Omakase", but truly what you're experiencing is more of "Kaiseki" of Chef Jin's expertise. As this is not just sushi for the whole dining experience.Every dish was very well thought out and prepare with care by Chef Jin. Being able to watch him take such care putting everything together, show how much heart and passion he puts into each dish and item. I am a Japanese culture fanatic, and I wanted to experience what I have while I visit everytime. Chef Jin was truly able to bring back a lot of experience and memories while I was in Japan. The restaurant setting and ambience was quite on par, and the servers were very attentive. It really felt like they've brought Japan to me that evening. It was a big bonus to have smooth jazz music playing in the background to accompany the ambience. Which a lot of people didn't know that, jazz music is a big part of Japanese music culture. That is why when you visit Japan, a lot of bars, restaurants, and cafe plays jazz music in the background.Overall, I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a great experience to come visit Rin Sushi. Take your time to savour every bite, and let the dishes create memories.Parking: Plenty of parking in front of restaurant.

What a great dinner at our anniversary day. Chief Jin, his assistances and hostess - thank you for great atmosphere, tasty food and relaxed time. All the dishes are aesthetically unique and tasty. Everything served in time, attention to the clients at top notch level. Amazing atmosphere.Another great sushi, or I would say Japanese cuisine "a must" experience. Pricy for everyday dining but worth it, and definitely place to be for another visit.Parking: Free parking lot

This was an incredible experience. If you are looking for a culinary experience, I strongly recommend this place. Beyond the incredible food, the sushi chefs (Jin and Andrew) are incredibly hospitable and professional. The preparation of the food is top class; one can clearly see how much care they give for their guests. This was beyond just a meal….it was an experience that I will remember for a long time and will definitely be going again.

Celebrated father's day and the experience was great. We ordered the $220 Omakase Set which includes the A5 Japanese Wagyu. All the fish were super fresh and the chef took his time to explain some of the dishes he served. The waitresses were super nice and took their time to explain each dish. Service, ambiance, and food were all incredible. Definitely worth coming again!

A omakase style kaiseki meal. Excellent ambience and vibe, with thoughtful touches on the food and a warm, welcome environment with the chef. A little intimidating if you don't have experience with this style, but a most thoroughly enjoyable experience. Come for the experience, enjoy the food, leave with the memory.Pricey, so save for those special occasions where you can savour it.

Visited Rin Sushi on Valentine's day and Chef Jin did not disappointed. This restaurant only serves one omakase menu for $195 per person. Highlights for me was the tamago tofu with foie gras, truffle mushroom rice and the uni toro hand roll! I've had many toro uni hand rolls but this is the best I've had. It has some crispy bits and the uni just melts in your mouth. Would come back just for the handroll.
