Went there for lunch and the food tasted like it was old probably from the day before. Tasted off and rotten! My stomach hurt immediately after. This never happened at the other Swiss Chalet locations. I think this place is trying to cut corners. When I expressed my concern the manager just took my plate away and still charged me for a meal I didn't eat. Horrible custom service. Do not go to this location.

Swiss Chalet is one of my favorite restaurants. My daughter and I frequent either the Aurora or the Vaughan location at least once a week. Today while shopping at Hillcrest, decided to try the one in the plaza. It was absolutely the worst we have ever had. My daughter had the rib meal. After waiting almost 30 minutes, we were shocked and disappointed at both the portion sizes and the cook. My daughters ribs were stone cold. I got up and went to get the server to tell her. She came and scooped up the cold ribs and about 10 minutes later a gentleman (not sure if it was the manager) brought out a new rack. My daughter took a bite and said she could not eat it as it tasted rotten. I tried a small corner and found the meat tasted old, perhaps from the day before, just reheated. She left the rest of rib after eating only one small corner. We both told the server and the Manager that she could not eat the ribs as they tasted old and flavorless. The server said "oh sorry". We received a full bill for the food, no discount for the rotten ribs. I did not complain because I was looking for a discount, but feel we should have been offered another meal as her food was barely touched. My daugther and I had to go into the mall to get something to eat for her.Maybe the manager's should go visit the Auroa Restaurant to see what true customer service and food quality looks like. I am very upset and will be sharing my story to all my friends, family and colleagues. I am very disappointed and will be contacting the Swiss Chalet Head Office as I believe there is an issue at this location that needs to be addressed.

Took 2 hours to deliver. Called customer service to find out why the delivery was still out outstanding. They eventually delivered the order which included bulging, battered, distorted soda cans with flat soda. I was just about to call back customer service to cancel when the delivery finally arrived. Terrible, terrible service.

Hwa was our server tonight and we had a great time with her.She was efficient and friendly.She also brought us the finger bowls to clean our fingers at the end of the meal (which we thought had been discontinued), what a nostalgia!Would absolutely come back to this location and sit in Hwa’s section every time!

Swiss Chalet is always consistent. The food is more country style, a bit rough on the edges, but comforting. The service is usually average or below that due to staffing issues. The ambience is also dated and riding the line between clean and dirty. If you've been to one location, you know what to expect. And that is valuable and all I need at times.
