Called to inquire about making a specific type of reservation for the following day. There was only one person who was there to help me. Unfortunately, she was in a meeting, but the person at the desk took a message and let me know that she would call me before she left for the day. I called back later, but she was already gone, and now I have no way of booking accommodations even elsewhere for what I needed, in time. I do understand everyone wants to go home at the end of their day, especially when they've been in meetings, but this is not good service. The least this hotel could do is ensure more than just one individual is able to accommodate customers. I'll be hard-pressed to recommend this hotel ever again to anyone who comes to visit us in the Soo.

I felt compelled to remove a previous positive review and write this one. I've stayed here 3-4 times per year for years and it's always been great. Now it is under new ownership and has been in constant decline. The "business centre" printer is down. Both hot tubs have not worked in over a month. The indoor pool is digustingly warm and the sauna sometimes works. The gym on the other hand is freezing and set below healthy guidelines. The housekeeping staff is great, but I'm not sure what the remaining staff there do.

Exactly what you paid for. Service was great, room was good for the price, and the location was right on our route through! The shower water pressure was a little light, which wasn't great, and the bathroom door kinda sucked but overall would go again!

Great hotel stay. Some complained beds are lumpy but the conference facilities and amenities were perfect, and more than made up for it! Great hotel all around! :)

A nice resort. I stayed in a single queen room which was handicap accessible and I was told all the single queen rooms were like that. Weird, with the open shower. Otherwise, basic room, clean, not huge but enough. Outside of "downtown"

I have stayed at this location for approximately 60 nights in 2023 for business. The good: Clean hotel rooms, helpful staff. Lots of resources available for tourist sites and things to do.Not so good: The hotel location is awful. There were many vehicle break-ins and lots of theft in the parking lot. Lots of vehicles had items stolen. There is a fair amount of loitering and many characters walk through the parking lot during the night. The hotel does not have security, cameras were not visible/effective.Overall, a nice place to stay but be careful with your belongings. I hope that the hotel is able to implement some security measures to deal with the break-ins.Nearby activities: Skiing and hiking.Safety: There is a lack of safety/security measures in the parking lot.Food & drinks: Caseys, an excellent diner is attached to the hotel. Try the buffalo wrap and a Heineken beer, you won’t be disappointed.Noteworthy details: Pool/hot tub available.
