Best Haitian food in the gta hands down! Griot is a 12 on 10! The djondjon rice is a 15/10....blessed hands and the blessings transfer through every bite.

The food was average and enjoyable but what I didn’t appreciate is that the lady charged us for gryot ,Dijon Dijon rice and salad she charged is $26 per plate so I want to ask the owner if this is the truth. We thought it was $26 for both the food but she charges $26 per plate . The place had no menu And their menu was practically just going on Facebook that we could not find the prices. For $26 per plate we should’ve gotten more food . This place needs to do better. I am highly disappointed I will never eat here again and do not eat here.

The griot plate is extremely delicious! Moving to Toronto, I found that that it was almost impossible to find Haitian food, specifically “home cooked”. Although this location is a 35mins drive away, it is absolutely worth it. I would hope that one day they expand!

it's been 2 times that I come during your opening hours and it's closed. it's annoying to move for nothing. You should adjust your schedule on the internet.

If I could give NO STARS I WOULD!!! I was visiting Scarborough from the states looking for an authentic Haitian restaurant and came across this place... the reviews were mixed but I decided to try for myself. As a Haitian I know sometimes the customer service can be horrible although true about this place that's not my issue. When you first walk in it's hard to tell what the menu is... there's nothing listed anywhere so you have no clue what they are selling and there's also no prices. I ended up ordering a fish dinner with plantain and black rice. There was another man sitting and eating who was in deep convo with the woman taking my order who also wanted fish. After a conversation about there possibly not being enough fish to give me as a paying customer (the man seemed to be a friend of possibility the owner), they decided to give me my order. The meal came out and I was charged $50 for the single meal!! $50 CA DOLLARSSSSSS!!! Now I guess they can do what they want because there's no accrual prices listed! But $50 is ridiculous!!! And to add insult to injury it wasn't even that good! The plantain was hard like rock! Like it's been sitting there all day! The rice and fish had ZERO taste! It was a lot of money wasted! Not worth a penny if you asked me!!! The ambiance and set up is weird too... it's very dingy but again that didn't bother me because hole in the walls can have great food! This place is NOT that place!!! I will not be going back and wouldn't recommend!

Had fried snapper, rice and plantain. It was very tasty. I haven't Haitian food before and look forward to trying other food on the menu.

I unfortunately had a bad experience at this restaurant. I am all about supporting my people, but sometime my people do not always receive constructive criticism very well. I was disappointed with the legume that appeared by smell and taste to be spoiled.I have contacted the cook within 30 minutes after it was purchased and informed her that the food was spoiled. She laughed and said she never heard any customer complained about a spoiled food that I must have dropped something myself to make it spoiled. Anyway, the food was spoiled and very pricy in my opinion. We literally threw the food away since it was spoiled, not to mention pricy.

Finally made my way to Alabon. Food was delicious and plentiful. I've been eating homecooked Haitian food for many years and this is definitely comparable in quality. The price is pretty steep $23 for a meal but since there's no other options for Haitian food in the city, its worth it. Other than that, I would encourage everyone to support this family business and go get some yummy Haitian food!

Hidden gem of a restaurant in Scarborough. I got take-out for my workplace so we ordered one of each meal; chicken, fried pork, and goat. Goat was by far my favorite, it was super tender and juicy, a must try! We also got a side order of their delicious macaroni salad and a bunch of Couronne fruit champagne which was also delightful! It's like cream soda... But better. Besides the great food, the restaurant is also owned and managed by lovely people. Thanks for bringing a taste of authentic Haitian food to our neighborhood, will definitely be back!!

I feel like people who are not used to real good Haitian food will find this place okay, but I'm from Montreal and also lived in Ottawa so it can't compare. Since this city doesn't have much to offer in terms of Haitian food, I guess it's alright.
