This location was not there when we tried to visit on 6 March 2023.

Cake was dry. Icing tasted like it was out of a container. Was hoping to have this cake wow me but there’s nothing special about it at all except wasting your money on it

Carlo's Bake Shop Express automated cake ATM at the Outlet Collection at Niagara! These machines are temperature controlled and restocked daily? Okay... They currently have 30-ish locations in major Canadian shopping malls, including GTA Eaton, Sherway Gardens, Yorkdale, Square One, Upper Canada, Toronto Premium Outlets, and so on. The back story was that it rose to fame with a reality TV series more than a decade ago, depicting the staff of the shop creating elaborate custom-order novelty cakes. As a result, the shop became a tourist attraction.... Pretty neat idea with its cake ATMs. Very organized, and the ATM keypad is very clean... almost like no one has ever touched it. LOL!I wonder how often would fellow Canadians even try one of these from a machine while Timmy's are literally everywhere. Simply by looking at the cakes through the window, it certainly looks dry. And who on earth would buy a slice if people can get fresh treats at a lower price? If it was a real cakeshop probably would have a better chance but not with an ATM. As a matter of fact, the one that used to be found at CF Fairview has gone, and another one from CF Markville has gone too...

Carrot cake was dry with an overly sweet frosting. There was nothing about it that would warrant going back to try anything else. One and I am done especially considering the cost.

Cakes got stuck in the machine, still waiting for a refund a week later.

Was hesitant to get a cake slice from a vending machine but I like Carlo from his famous show and had to try his cakes...tried the carrot cake and it was delicious, butter cream was just perfect

If you are of the opinion that a vending machine is not a place to buy a delicious piece of cake, carry on with reading something else!Carlo's Bake Shop Express vending machines are usually found in large malls like this one located on the upper floor of the Scarborough Town Centre (beside the TTC entrance).Credit card payment accepted. Make a menu selection on the display board.Presto! You have a big slice of delicious, eye-appealing, tasty cake from Carlo himself!Well, this is the best customer service a machine can offer, and it's fast too.

When I saw this machine I was so excited! I had to try a piece of cake. I got the rainbow slice, it was delicious and moist. The cake dispenser is located at the TTC entrance of the Scarborough Town Centre.

how about we learn to bake. Paying for the name is crazy. We live in tough times. Cake is cake. Yes it's good but not worth the price.

Go back to the usa and serve your disgusting cake slices.

Worst cakes in the world. Ignore the other guy, he's never had nothing better than Duncan Hines.

Fun novelty | Fresh cake | Quick I've been to Carlos flagship location in Las Vegas and their newest location in New York. Both are great experiences and offer a wide variety of baked goods. I've had the cannolis, cakes, cookies and cupcakes so I guess you can say I've had my share of Carlos. Most recently they've opened a cake vending machine in Scarborough at Scarborough Town Center by the subway entrance/exit. The first cake vending machine was downtown somewhere in the PATH and I've heard that it's constantly packed/out of cake. When I visited the machine at STC, there was no one there. It helps that the machine and the whole feature wall is flush to the wall and not a "stick out" feature so people don't immediately see it, if you know what I mean. My cousin got me the carrot cake a few weeks ago and it was GOOD. The cake was moist and firm while the icing was light and still fresh! I don't know what the transporting time is before the cake hits the machine but it doesn't takes stale at all. I recently got the rainbow fudge cake (mostly for novelty and because I had an Amex offer to save $5). The cake slice was $9.99+ tax which came up to $11.29. I normally wouldn't spend that much on just a single slice of cake but I wanted to try out the vending machine for myself. If you can, there's no harm in trying. The machine at STC has a sign that says the machine is restocked every morning at 7:30 am so you're guaranteed fresh cake.

I'm not sure if it's just me ... but I think these cakes do not live up the hype. They are beautiful ... and moist. But that's about it. I think they fall short of flavour , especially for the price. I'm not sure what the hype is. I'd rather spend my money at the cheese cake factory or get a la rocca cake from metro!
