CRAIG

Ordered South Indian thali for $13.99 and shamelessly served 1 chapati in thali , Usually there are two or more rotis but restaurant now a day increased price by 40% & reduce portion by 20% to 30%.People should reduce their number of visits to this scammers , this is story of 90% restaurants in Canada after Covid. Please note that covid is over and food prices are almost back to normal so stop exploitation of customers ?

Second time revising the past review which I said a decent Indian vegetarian place. Spend 13 dollars each to see you get a half full box of paneer and baby corn Manchurian so $26 dollars and both came enough for one box. I hope you are donating the rest. Come on give what people have paid for. I ordered thali along with it but don't want to forget to give reviews. Everyone ordering take out please ask them to open the box check before leaving...

Hi, I always liked desi mane, though there was some.small issues with food sometimes like Mirchi bhaji with the spicy normal chilly instead of bhaji chilli etc which was one time and I didn't review it but didn'tcome back for sometime. this time it was something else they give you 3/4th order on take out - chilli paneer and Manchurian baby corn. Why pay$ 13/- . Pictures attached. Please respect your customers .

I think desi mane is losing its quality and service. There is only one person and she didn’t even brought plates or cutleries after food reached. I understand if it is too busy this is acceptable but only 4 tables ppl were there. I am not happy as I weren’t experienced this kind of service in the past.

Visited this place at least 15 times since day 1 of it's opening but literally see the quality and taste decreasing every visit. My visit on March 16 was the worst of all and makes me think to avoid this place, (was once a favorite place of ours).- The food is no longer south indian tasting. The coconut chutney was cold with no seasoning (tempering). Sambar was sweet and the vadas are just average. Not what it used to be. It's no longer authentic 'south Indian'.- The banana leaf thali had dosa on our last visit. No one in down South East dosas with afternoon meals but the meal quality has gone down south.- Severely understaffed on a Saturday evening affecting the dining experience. The 2 girls were doing their best but cannot manage new and existing orders, cannot attend to tables. We had to wait 15 mins and literally reached out to one of the girls to take our order but ended up taking the wrong order. Terrible experience for a dine-in. No wonder the footprint is getting smaller here!Hoping the management takes this seriously and restores its glory. Plenty of good south indian restaurants to consider until then.

*Desimane (Brand owned by Orignial Sangeetha Chennai) old taste is back*.I am very happy to put this review.I ordered a Pongal and Onion Rava Dosa.Pongal - Authentic South Indian taste. The coconut chutney taste is very good. Most suitable right from Kids to Seniors.Onion Rava Dosa - It was crispy and tasty. The variety of chutneys are good. The consistency of Sambar was very good with taste.Must try. 5 Stars. I repeat.

My first time experience was very bad , ordered Dosa and Medu Vada ,when I was almost half way done found an Iron bearing ball from Masala Dosa. Never experienced anything before like this.It was a careless mistake from the cook .I was very disappointed and I will never visit Desi Mane again .

The weekend banana leaf lunch is just ❤️. Everytime I eat it, it takes me back to Sundays in Chennai as me and my family head out to get a proper Chennai meals experience. Good and super authentic taste, the spread is satisfying as well and very reasonably priced given its unlimited. Sometimes it gets very busy so reserving in advance is recommended.

Bad quality Sambar which main part for South Indian dishes . It was easily 1 week old. It spoiled all other good dishes. Probably they are saving all fresh items for Friday Women’s day crowd. So looks like we should visit this restaurant only during weekend for fresh food.Otherwise food was decent and staff customer friendly.
