I ordered j*** pork with rice & peas I asked to have the oxtail gravy on it, as I like my rice to have gravy. I was disappointed. There was absolutely no gravy, & thinking of j*** food one would expect it to be a little spicy but this was not. I have had much better j*** pork before. There used to be a j*** place on Kingston rd & Morningside unfortunately they closed

Despite the fact that this restaurant is located in a plaza that needed improvements, and the mediocre plain salad I am still giving Juicy J*** an excellent rating. My 5 star rating is really based on the excellent taste of the j*** chicken only. It was really good and the portion was right. The rice and peas were okay and could have used some more gravy. I wished they gave me coleslaw of some tomato on the salad. Anyway, again the chicken was so good. It reminded me of a Chinese roasted chicken.

Date visited : Saturday January 22, 2022Comments :Wifey got off late from work tonight. So we didn't feel like cooking. I did check what Chinese resto options were available past 9pm. Not many. I did call Juicy J*** and they informed me they were open till 11pm on Saturday. The parking is kinda bad currently due to all the extra snow piled in the lot. Also, lots of rental cargo vans/trucks consuming parking spaces. They do accept Debit/InteracService : 3/5Lady we spoke to was very friendly. She explained that their menu changes daily and the only static items on the menu are the J*** Chicken and J*** Pork dishes.Food : 3/5We ordered J*** Chicken (comes with rice and peas), Peppered Shrimp w/Festival dumpling. Now, I'm not an expert by any means on J*** Chicken. The chicken meat itself was juicy, the chicken pieces looked like 2 drumsticks that had been cut up. We did find the spice level ok, however the skin was too salty for us. We were not too keen on the rice and peas. As for the Peppered Shrimp, wow for us, this had a kick spice wise. The shrimp itself was tender, not overcooked, just the spiciness had us looking for a glass of milk.Drinks :N/APortion Size Value for Money Spent : 3/5Both the J*** Chicken and the Peppered Shrimp were $10 each, HST seems to be included. However, for the $10 spent, it seemed a bit on the steep side for the amount of food we received.Worth repeat visit :Kinda on the fence on this, we might come back for the J*** Chicken alone, without rice and peas. Also the Festival dumplings were good too. Not sure what else they have since their daily menu is changing each day, with exception to the already mentioned J*** Chicken and J*** Pork.

Super nice owner with incredible food to back it up!! My wife and I both had the j*** chicken meals - a solid near 9/10 - only thing that would make it a perfect meal - house made coleslaw!!Going in on Wednesday to try the curry goat!

I went to Juicy J*** based on recommendation from my Trini colleague and friend. I was very thankful for his recommendation since the food were spot on and the owner was the sweetest person around. I ordered a buy one get one chicken soup through Ubereats and was planning to order a patty on the side at the store. At the store, the owner politely informed me that they didn't have patties that day. So I pondered getting just a piece of fried chicken to try. The owner offered it to me for free. But I felt super bad since I was already taking advantage of the BOGO deal on the soup, so I offered to pay for it. She then proceeded to ask me if I like oxtail. I replied by saying I love oxtail, but I didn't want such a big lunch that day. So she took one of those small sauce styrofoam container and packed a bit of sauce for me as a dip for the chicken. She also purposely gave me small morsels of oxtail inside. She was way too nice. On the way out, she also slipped in the takeout bag a few pieces of (Costco Swiss Delice) chocolate. Aside from the hospitality, I really liked their food. It's actually my first time having Caribbean soup of any kind. The chicken soup is certainly different in a good way. The broth is pretty clean, but had strong chicken taste. What's different about their chicken soup and the traditional Canadian one is the fact that the soup has a bit of a kick to it and aside from the regular carrot and potato, they also added white radish and chicken with bones still intact (which I agree is the way to go if someone wishes to maximize the flavour in soup). This soup is perfect for a cold Canadian winter day. The fried chicken was also quite enjoyable. The herbs brought enough flavours and I barely needed the oxtail sauce as the dip. The chicken meat was true to their restaurant name and was still juicy. The oxtail sauce was hearty and savoury, as expected. Flavour wise, it was on point. Based on the limited morsels of oxtail I got, I was able to tell that they slow cooked them well enough where it's the fall off the bone variety. Honestly, I wanted to drink the sauce at the end of the meal. When I was on the way out, the owner actually went out of her way to open and hold the door for me. I don't even expect service like this at a four star hotel these days, so I was super impressed by the hospitality at Juicy J**** Local businesses like Juicy J*** deserves our support.

I've eaten from many Caribbean restaurants in the past. But I must say by far the best and the most tastiest place in town. Curry goat and j*** chicken were delicious with great portions. The food is constantly fresh. This is my favourite restaurant out there. I would highly recommend everyone to try it at least once to get the experience I had.

As a self professed foody, i try my best to try support new restaurants in the area and will only write an honest review. Young lady at the front of the store was super nice and the establishment was clean when i stopped in for lunch today, 12 $ for the jerked pork lunch which was prepared by the front of store staff. This is where it all goes south, I am guessing that the "juicy" in Juicy J*** comes from the fat on the meat, trust me when i say i have no issues with 10 to 20% fat throughout my pork but i can honestly say that it was better than 50% Fat, the pork was well cooked but not to the point of being crispy at all so the gelatin like texture was actually Nasty, my J*** pork meal came with the usual rice and peas which i ask for some Ox Tail gravy and some warmed variation of coleslaw with a side of cold coleslaw as well. As a whole, the dish was flavorless, jerked pork had no heat and very little taste, rice and peas were bland and the oxtail gravy if they did put some on, had absolutely no flavor. The warm and cold coleslaw were both tasteless as well. My review is based purely on the J*** pork but I as i give an establishment 1 opportunity to impress i would have to rate the experience an epic fail. would not return for disappointment # 2

I ordered with Skip and was really disappointed. I got goat and oxtail meals and for large meals the box was very light. I hardly gor goat in my food but I did get alot of bones and sauce. Some parts of my meat was fridge cold and it didn't taste frest. It was starting to lose its flavour and my guess would be 3 to 4 days old. It was the same as the oxtail. I am not giving a bad review to bring you down but for you to get better. The food wasn't the greatest as it was just there but I'd return for freshness any day.

Juicy J*** truly has some of the juiciest, most delicious j*** chicken I have eaten in the Toronto Area! My granny is from the Caribbean and it reminds of food she used to make.
