I started going here a couple months ago.Don't live in the area, but heard good things about this bakery. I haven't been disappointed since trying most of the delicious bakery items. Real back home taste that I grew up with. Brings back childhood memories. Marilyn, the supervisor/manager is so sweet. Keep this lady.. dont let her go...She is very helpful and always pleasant. Others at the front are also helpful. It's always busy there...ppl getting their guyanese fix for their week/weekends and other functions. Everything is always fresh..Baked on the spot. Pastries are not heavy and oily...not too much sugar added...like some other guyanese bakeries. So very happy to have found this place.Excellent..Excellent...Their recipe is right on ... same taste as Demico House...stabroek market bake shop,Bookers snack bar...etc...In the late 60s and 70s..Thank you Naraine's Bakery..please do not change.Vegetarian options: Breads, tennis rolls, pastries...salaries..Savory snacks.

Let's please keep a good thing going for our people supporting this business. The slices are getting smaller and the bread is not as fresh. I know The business game has changed but we all need to keep our game at the highest level that took us this far. Thank you. RAJ

I grew up in Ontario, and going to Naraine’s Bakery was a weekly ritual - even their older locations. Have since moved away, but everytime I come back to visit family - it is a must to get their breads and pastries. They need to open some locations in America!

Their aniseed bread only available on long weekends, pastries are very good.

This bakery brought back serious childhood memories! The last time I visited a Naraine's bakery was in Guyana when I was a child. I had fond memories of walking to the bakery with my grandmother to buy tennis rolls & plait bread fresh out of the oven. In my elder years, I relied upon my mum bringing back tennis rolls from Guyana. However, once I found out that I was within proximity of a Naraine's bakery, I decided to pay a visit to this store. Lo & behold, the smell of fresh baked bread hot out of the oven hit my nose (even with a mask on) & my childhood memories came rushing back!! The true test came when I got home & indulged my craving for fresh bread & tennis rolls...I was satiated! I didn't think they could match the original Guyanese bakery, but boy oh boy they sure did!! For anyone looking for fresh baked bread hot out of the oven that just melts in your mouth, look no further!I also bought the kurma, tamarind balls & chinese cakes. The kurma was finished before I got home lol & how can you go wrong with tamarind balls?! The chinese cakes did not taste as good as the main pastry shops in Guyana, but it was doable for me since this is my favorite pastry in the world!!I also have to mention the warm, friendly girls who greeted me upon entry into the bakery & their efficient & impeccable service! Thank you!!
