Horrible experience! Food was good but service was the worst! We did not get Tea and they charged us 11 dollars for water. They said it’s the same price. And the server threw the bill on the table. Like really threw threw the bill. Omg and I felt scammed cause we left a large tip but the server came and said we need to pay another 10 dollar tip…. It was our first time but jeez probably never going back again.. never never..

This place was alright. Food came out fast, hot, and surprisingly inexpensive. And surprisingly busy during the day for dim sum on a weekday to boot. A table of 9, we ordered more than enough food, including wok items, was $160.

The food was good but I wouldn't call it fine dining. More like the typical Chinese restaurant. They rushed a 9 course meal and brought everything out at one time. There wasn't enough room on the lazy Susan so the waitress squeezed the dishes between table settings. We asked the manager if they could stagger the food and he said we either take all the food now or don't get it until much later because they had a banquet in another room. I guess they can't do both like other restaurants/banquet venues. Waitress was also rushing and spilled the soup and and desert all over the bowls. I guess they had double duty for the banquet as well. This place is either short staffed or poorly managed.

Booked a table for Mom in law bday dinner, in the main room was a dinner for the Rotman business students.Service was short staffed or busy attending the party in the main room. After we gave tips to the servers mid way through they served us better.Pro tip- tip’em early on!!Food was good as usual especially the lobster, it was similar to soft shell crab where you can almost eat the shells it was that good.

Great location, very convenient. But can be a bit hard to find parking depending on the time of arrival. On a rainy/snowy day, the outdoor areas near the entrance can be really slippery. So watch out if you are bringing old folks to this place.Monday to Friday, if you pay cash, all dim sum $5/each.It was the second time I ate there. The food is average. Nothing special to praise/complain about.Overall it was quite hard to get the servers’ attention. They are not rude nor very friendly. Just busy. My dad said that it seems they have really clear “division of labor” so ended up not providing very fast/good service.I may be back again if I’m in the area, and that’s about it.

If you’re in the mood for dim sum on a weekday, consider Zunyan Fine Dining & Banquet where any small, medium, or large dish is only $5 for the entire lunch period. Order before 11:00am on weekends and the price inches up to $5.25.Their sui mai with fish roe (L) is solid with authentic flavours and the pork not overly pulverized. Just break into it before eating as they were not cooked through on one of my visits.Oddly, the har gow is considered an XL and therefore not included in the special. But, if you’re a fan of shrimp dumplings, the shrimp and chive dumplings (L) is a close substitute. Moreover, the filling is heavy on the shrimp and skimps on the vegetable anyways. It’s a run-of-the-mill version of the dish with the wrapper slightly to thick and sticky. It’s a similar story with the BBQ pork and egg rice roll (M), which has big chunks of barbeque pork, but lacks flavour. The rice roll wrapper isn’t consistently prepared: one visit it was too thick and another still thick but at least silkier. If you prefer a thinner cheung fun, the fish paste with parsley and preserved egg rice roll (L) fits the bill and the filling a combination seldom found elsewhere.Zunyan’s shrimp balls (L) remind of me of a crab claw without the crab. Hot, crispy, and juicy these are delicious! Just be aware that the crispy vermicelli noodles pieces coating it are not always used. The shrimp balls are much better than the pan-fried shrimp with corn cake (L), which is really fish paste studded with shrimp pieces. Sadly, it also lacks corn… an ingredient that adds texture to an otherwise overly soft patty. While there’s a fair amount of mushrooms in the tofu skin roll (M), there isn’t a lot of other vegetables and relies on vermicelli instead. At least they were well toasted to give it that crunch you need.I prefer the steamed bean curd meat roll with oyster sauce (M) that encapsulates more filling. Big chunks of pork, shrimp, and vegetables are wrapped in the flavourful bean curd sheets. Having ordered this several times, the dish stays consistent and always satisfies. The shrimp paste and squid with vermicelli (L) is rarely found at dim sum restaurants, even though it was a staple in the past. While the dish isn’t heavy on the shrimp paste, it’s flavourful enough and the vermicelli soaks in all the juices and almost melts into the other ingredients. Sadly, in recent months the squid seems to have been taken off the menu… hopefully, it’ll make a reappearance. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

Dim sum quality was not bad and price was still reasonable. Dining room was clean and bright but the service could have room to improve.

The food is pretty good, but the delivery is very slow. The most important thing is that the service attitude is terrible. If you wave to the waiter, she will ignore you and ignore you. I can understand that, but you have work to do and can't come. But after waiting for a long time and waving, she still didn't come. Finally, when she finally came, she came over with a bad face, as if everyone owed her, then told her what she wanted and left her alone, which I really don't understand. Do you still roll your eyes when I go over to eat? I'm not saying that you should be happy to serve me if I spend money. I only ask for the most basic service. How can you be a waiter if you can't even do it? There's no apology or explanation for missing food. Several people have been waiting. After half an hour, he finally told us that you can't do it anymore. He went there three times and the service was so bad. He will ban this store from now on. The boss should quickly replace a group of waiters.
