We ordered bbq chicken and oxtail. Instead of the bbq chicken we got fried chicken. This would have been an okay alternative if the fried chicken didn't taste stale, but unfortunately it did. You could tell that this chicken was at least a day old and they re-fried it to sell for the day. Absolutely disgusting. I'd say it was some of the worst fried chicken we ever had. Even KFC nah tasting so bad ?Oxtail was mediocre. Tasted extra sweet and texture seemed like it was a bit undercooked. The only thing we really like from this place is the liver and the porridge. Would not recommend much else. Even rice and peas nah authentic. Who puts corn and green peas in their rice and Peas? Lawd these ppl nah really getting anything right

I should have checked the Google reviews first because other places have this restaurant ranked with a high 4 stars. My experience eating here for the first time - take-out: The rice was poorly cooked. The fish was old and stale. The cabbage was slimy. Didn't even bother to eat the BBQ chicken. I only pray this food doesn't make my family sick. It is safe to say I will never eat from this establishment again.

Look, I just ordered a large red peas soup and fried dumplings through Uber eats. The read peas soup had no beef in it, ...and it's been awhile since I ordered this soup from Sunrise, it's used to be so good, now it's just not worth it. If a soup is all I ordered and you can't even give me meat, just two large black bananas. But you can put your realestate flyer with my order. That's tells me, if he is going to short you on the soup, he is going to scam you with the houses. This place has gone down in quality with the food. And I don't want your flyers esp if your cutting down the food but increasing the prices, I wouldn't want to do real estate with you., I would like my order properly not short.
The meal was absolutely disgusting the jerk chicken. Was like chewing gum, old chicken warmed up no taste. Staff is rude they should call it hakka cuisine not Caribbean food.

I was craving some Jamaican cuisine, a friend of mine recommended Sunrise stating that it was the most authentic form I was gonna get in Scarborough. I went to this location and I was served by one of the most ignorant individuals I’ve come across. She destroyed my experience and unfortunately I will not be going back. If your miserable stay home. Customer service is not for you.
