I regret to inform you that the service and quality of food at this establishment were woefully dissatisfactory. The food itself had a stale taste and the staff exhibited remarkably rude behavior. Consequently, I cannot in good conscience recommend dining at this establishment. To exacerbate matters, when I brought these concerns to the attention of the manager, I was informed that I would still be responsible for paying for the subpar food. Furthermore, my communication with the owner, Ravi, proved to be one of the worst customer service experiences that I have encountered in a restaurant setting. It is truly alarming that Godavari would allow such an individual to be entrusted with the responsibility of managing this establishment. Their actions not only tarnish the reputation of this particular location, but reflect poorly on the entire brand as well.Rather than addressing the issue at hand and striving for a resolution, the owner exhibited a regrettable level of apathy and went as far as threatening legal action once I highlighted the problems I encountered. In light of these unfortunate circumstances, I advise caution when considering dining at this establishment.

I regret not coming here earlier and read further to know why. The food prices are slightly higher than the usual Scarborough joints and overall GTA South Indian restaurants and that I lamented to my husband and my brother, the three of us stopped here for a quick dinner. Once the food started arriving we realized why about the prices. The largest paper dosa I have eaten in the GTA, So much that my tired hands couldn't take a proper picture that would do justice. The food is delicious, if you like spice then it will tingle all the right notes. We packed the rasam Vada as the paper, Rava dosa and chicken 65 were filling enough. I would be back to try more of the non vegetarian items. The staff was extremely courteous they forgot our idli sambhar and were gracious enough to either remove it from the bill or give us a takeaway. $60 between three with taxes and tips, extremely pocket friendly.

The weekend lunch is pretty small but cheap ($20 + tax). The quality is so so (though the paratha is crispier than average). As this is a South Indian restaurant you get dishes not present in generic Indian buffets like rasam, sambar, malabar fish curry, chicken roast & kerala paratha.Service was literally non existent - no one took my used plate or even asked me if I wanted a drink. None of the water containers on each table are covered either.

Picked up some food on New Years and was disappointed for the most part. First of all I ordered via Uber eats and I arrived in the 45 minutes they said it would take, it was not ready for another 20 minutes despite on the app saying ready for pick up. There was probably at least 5-7 other people who were all disgruntled as they had been waiting too. With concerns to the food, the absolutely most disappointing part of the meal was the "Crazy" Butter Idly. The description said "special idly made on Tawa with butter and crazy spices. I felt like there should be a Wanted sign offering $500 for anyone who can find these "crazy spices". There was 3 curry leaves, half a dried chilli, and some cashews. I also ordered the Karaikudi Onion Uthappam (chilli and onion) and I put in the special instructions to please make it extra spicy. What they decide to do? Not put ANY chilli, so so disappointing. The onion pakoda was quite average however the chutneys were adequate. The only dish I would say that was maybe above average was the eggplant special, however even with that the eggplants were bitter indicating poor preparation but the gravy that accompanied it was rich and delicious. Would I order here again? Absolutely not.

Their service is atrocious. They made a mistake with our order and I had to call thrice because they kept insisting the mistake was on our part and refused to do anything about it and assumed hanging up while I was speaking was the right thing to do. My husband doesn't consume dairy due to intolerance and his order contained dairy. I ordered mild egg kothu roti, we got kothu roti with extra green chilli and chicken pieces in it which after the third person, a male, told me it was soya. There is no soya anything on the menu and furthermore it looked exactly like chicken. My husband who eats meat confirmed it was chicken. I am very disappointed and disgusted by their lack of customer service skills and inability to take accountability for their mistakes. After reading the reviews, I have no doubt my experience would have been different if I was Caucasian/white or anything other than brown. It seems like this restaurant cannot treat customers from their own ethnicity with the same respect/etiquette that they treat their Caucasian customers with and it's a real shame.

Are you even the original Godavari ?I have eaten in Boston-woburn, charlotte, atlanta. This one in Toronto has no standards of the original Godavari !!!!!Chutney is the heart of andhra food ! This branch is serving spicy liquids on the name of chutney in different colors !For MLA pesarattu, it tastes like green omelette, wrapped with Mor molaga inseadof Upma.Mor molaga is a tamilian food, Upma is different & goes as a masala inside pesarattu made from green lentil & not EGG !!!!Cut mirchi !! They just gave the mirichi bajji cut into pieces! Which is half fried in mustard oil !! & made from jalapeño I have no patience to write about Biryani ! Its not Godavari !

This restaurant is fairly new at this location. It sounds like it is under new management. My two experiences since covid have been great, I was pleasantly suprisedMy experiences during the pandemic have been great so far. Their appetizers include a Gobi 65 which was a crisp cauliflower dish. Their Kerala paratha and naan is delish perfectly flaky Their dishes I've tried include a eggplant curry, chicken dishes, shrimp and lamb which were all super flavourful. The layers of spices came through great. The have plenty of vegetarian and meat optionsThey have a fabulous fresh 'juice bar' and their lime ginger drink is so refreshing!Honestly, the new management gave this place a breath of fresh air. It's perfect for take out!

We wanted to order take out for a small party next day. The person who attended the phone was not interested in taking the order and asked us to call at 10 am. But they open only at noon.Who would do such thing in a COVID situation?

Very bad restaurant with respect to quality of food and customer service. The idli was broken into several pieces and the chutney tasted bad. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Ordered food via Skip the dishes.Paneer Tikka is a disaster. Just Four slices of paneer and nothing else. Its not worth the money.Kerala parantha is good. Onion and chilli Uthapam is fairly nice and way too greasy.Overall, disappointed! ?

Do not go on the reviews while ordering ala carte. I am wondering why this place have less rating! Was here on Thursday evening. Warmly welcomed by Rajeev..the food is perfect and the price are low. Ordered South Indian style Chicken Nadaan Curry accompanied with Naan and Garlic Naan, Onion and Chilli Uttapam and Chicken Biryani.Chicken Nadaan Curry was perfectly spiced and balanced. One can easily identify earthy flavour of curry leaves and spices. Chicken was cooked perfectly and was melting in the mouth.Naan were good. There was a after taste of yeast flavour which I dont like personally.Uttapam was perfectly cooked and crisp from both the sides. Sambhar was different yet tasty. Coconut chutney was one of the best I had till today in Toronto.Chicken Biryani was tempered with mustard seeds, and curry leaves.Met the Chef while leaving. Thanks for a good meal.

Not busy on a Sunday at 1. Buffet is small but good. My wife said the butter chicken had too many bones, but what restaurant doesn't. Six of us with 3 pops was around $80. With the lunch buffet special for $11 each. Very reasonable
