My son and I had lunch here on Thursday, March 18th, 2021 while waiting for my granddaughter to have dental work completed at the adjacent clinic. During COVID, in the Niagara region at that time only 10 dine-in patrons were permitted. Why bother opening but that’s a whole other kettle of fish?!! We phoned ahead and waited in our car until they phoned back when a table was available. My son had ‘Angel’s breakfast poutine’ and I had ‘gyros on a pita’ which came with a choice of side and I picked the soup of the day which was beef barley. Our food was good. No complaints but not particularly memorable. What did stand out was our server, Darian. His service was impeccable which one would reasonably expect when you only have 10 customers to serve. Having said that Darian exceeded my expectations with his personality and timing. I’m confident that if his section was absolutely at capacity during ‘normal’ times he would provide excellent service, which obviously adds to the dining experience and ultimately makes the food more enjoyable. There are an abundance of choices on their menu and this is a restaurant with a large seating capacity. When we return to ‘normal’ this would be an ideal place to dine with a group of several people as it would be able to cater to everyone’s likes and dietary requirements. I’d return if ever in that area again.

This morning we had the pleasure of being served by Madelyn. Several things were simply fantastic about this diner. Madelyn was pleasant, compassionate and apologetic about us having to wait for a seat. The food was fantastic, the service quick and efficient. This was our first time for breakfast and we will be back.

I've driven past this place twice a day for the last 12 years and finally stopped in today. I had their all day breakfast which was absolutely fantastic! Very large serving, very filling and delicious! The host and server were absolutely fantastic! This is now our Sunday go-to!

Generous portions (especially true in regards to their bacon or pancakes!). Diner style food, with egg breakfasts and sandwiches. The milkshakes are also worthy of note. Overall, Angel's is great place to take the family for breakfast or lunch.

We arrived at 8:45 with only 2 other tables to be served. Our order was taken promptly. Our server continually answered with “no problem”, not once did we hear a “you are welcome”. The food came out quickly and hot. A different server brought us our food and once again after thanking her the response was “no problem” we were beginning to think we were a problem???I ordered a side of fruit that didn’t ever arrive. I wasn’t able to ask for it because our server didn’t return. The bus girl cleared our table, she was very cute and friendly. She was carrying another tables dishes when she stopped for ours. The other server stood beside her, hands empty and commented on how such a little girl could carry all those plates and walked away empty handed. We saw our server the second time with our bill and of course the fruit was on it. We waited for her to return and she didn’t. I found her at the bar with the other server and explained why there was so little tip but if she fixed the bill there would be more for her. One other thing to mention. The table across from us sat dirty full of dishes the entire time we ate our breakfast.I wasn’t asked if I would like more hot water for tea and the coffee pot walked by our table as we were leaving for my husband. I may be critical because I serve breakfast 5 days a week, but please let your servers know it isn’t polite to reply with “no problem” and a bus girl is there to assist not to do all the dirty work.
