Thank you to Bolete Restaurant for going out of your way and making me a seafood boil even though it's not on your menu. The food was super delicious, portions were great. While standing on St. Paul St. in St. Catherines looking for a good restaurant to dine in on the phone, a kind local recommended Bolete restaurant. My sister and I enjoyed a very delicious dinner in this spacious, artfully decorated, clean restaurant. The dinner exceeded our expectations! We had the Grilled Octopus and the Charred Plum and Greens for appetizers. We also had the Black Cod and Braised Chicken with Blackened Brussel sprouts. All were very delicious. Attentive and comfortable service. Loved to try other delicious another day. We met another local foodie/party girl on the way out. She also confirmed that this a beloved upscale restaurant patronized by the locals among a few other favorites. While this restaurant doesn't come up when we search for good restaurants in Niagara region, very likely because it is not on Open Tables, or did not pay the search engines. Try this place and you will be delighted as we were!

First time here - one of our favourite meals of all time. Oysters, truffle fries, pork belly and escargot for starters. (Best escargot I have had). Our mains were chicken supreme, cod and the short rib. Every single dish was perfect. Cocktails also delicious. (Highly recommend the New York Sour). Lovely staff and nice atmosphere. A real gem in St Catharines. Highly recommend Bolete
Exceptional food and service. Certainly comparable to my very favourite Toronto Restaurants. If I were only permitted a very short description I would say:HIGH END cuisine in a comfortable setting.and they book dinner parties too!

Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to enjoy a dining experience at Bolete. We had reserved but were told when we arrived that we would be seated downstairs. The stairs were a daunting prospect as my husband has a serious breathing issue. We could not stay. When we made our reservation, we were not told that the restaurant seating was not accessible. Very poor customer service.
