I work next door at Chapters and the ladies here are always super sweet! We always have a small chat even if its a little busy. Starbucks is very expensive but the experience is much better than Tims. My drinks (usually fraps) are always made perfectly and are some of the best Starbucks drinks I've had!

Wow! I know this location is busier because Lake St. is closed but come on, really? The women took my order and I asked where to wait. I was still in front of her and she didn't remember me. What? It was less than 30 seconds! Also, watched my drink being made and then watered down! She poured quite a large amount in and it tasted watered down too. Go to another location or wait for Lake St. to reopen. Skip!

As a woman of color, I felt microaggressed when I observed that the staff was notably warmer and more welcoming to white customers compared to myself.It's disheartening to encounter such disparities in customer service based on race, as every customer should be treated with equal respect and kindness. I hope Starbucks can work towards ensuring that all patrons, regardless of their background, receive the same level of courteousness and hospitality in the future.
unfortunately, one of the workers, an older lady, was very rude to me, a person of colour, but funnily enough was nicer to all of the other patrons who were white. i had modified my order to make it easier for her to take my order because she was giving me service with lots of attitude, and yet i overheard her talking bad about me while i was waiting for my drink. experience was very disappointing and hurtful.

Okay so I just witnessed how amazing the staff is at this location. An owner left their dog unattended for a long time in the store while they went to the washroom. When the dog started to get unsettled because it did not know where their owner was, one of the staff members went over to comfort the dog. All the barks stopped and the little guy calmed down.Once the owner came back another staff, probably the manager (or should also be consider to be one) came over to quietly talk to the owner. How they managed it was brilliant, bringing up their concern, listening to the owners and setting the expections. All of which came across caring. It did not stop there, this person then came back with two pup cups, to keep the experience going even for the little doggy.Way to be classy Starbucks at Catharine's and caring for all the customers that experienced this (without even having anyone to come to you to fix this), the doggy and its owner. Way to be proactive.
