I just paid 73.05 before tip for an awful meal. Our fries were soggy, the only flavour was salt, and they were severly under staffed. Our waiter was great, but he was totally swamped, which wasn't his fault. Two tables got up and left before he was even able to get their drink orders because of how slow it was. All of the other Oaks I've been too have been great, sadly it wasn't the case here.

Great evening with 15 of us celebrating a 70th birthday party. It was a fun atmosphere and we weren't rushed out but must say they were a bit overwhelmed as drinks took a while to come. In fairness, there was also an even larger party for a 50th birthday party on top of regular clients and the servers were quite young so likely inexperienced but very pleasant.They allowed us to bring our own birthday cake in too. Also, there was some confusion at the end of the night for who was paying for what.House wine was great and so was the Whisky Sour. We had the Butter Chicken and Grilled Salmon that were hot and delicious. Plenty of parking. This is definitely a place I'd come back too whether for a meal or for drinks to watch a game and play darts.

Went to the Royal Oak on a Thursday, ordered a beef dip sandwich with cheese, it was excellent, lots of good lean beef slices, and the dipping sauce was perfect. Staff were super friendly...I will definitely be back! ( Entertainment was top notch too...and not too loud! )

Went to this place last week with some co workers for some wings and beer. The server was nice, but it seemed like quite a skeleton crew since it was just her and someone else serving the whole restaurant.It took almost 15 minutes for us to get our drinks and when I got my order of breaded wings it was undercooked and still pink / red in the middle. The carrot sticks weren't even crunchy as in you could literally bend them almost together at the ends. At least the celery sticks (the 2 that you get) were actually crunchy.Very disappointed with this place. I'll just stick with the Barley Mow or Hurley's next time for better food and service.

I called to make a reservation and the answering machine said to go to the website. I did so and sent in a reservation request. The confirmation message said I would hear back within 72 hours. I did not hear back. I called and got the answer machine. Then I booked elsewhere. What a silly system for reservations. We wanted a special place to celebrate 2 milestone birthdays and another one, 3 in total. The Royal Oak was obviously not the place to do those celebrations.
