Pretty good experience at this michelin star restaurant. I felt like some of the dishes were bland and service was a little slow. Drink pairing was so-so. However, presentation of the food, ambience, variety of dish, creativity and friendly staff definitely made it feel like high-end dining experience.

Frilu is an absolute culinary marvel! Every tasting course tantalizes the palate with bursts of divine flavors. Imagine my surprise when they offered a non-alcoholic beverage pairing, meticulously crafted to enhance each dish. Each house-brewed cocktail was a masterpiece in itself. The presentation of the food was nothing short of artistry, adorned with exquisite decor. And oh, the Bison, trout and scallop! They simply melted in my mouth, each bite savored with the most divine sauce imaginable. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend this gem of a restaurant—a small, quaint haven for true food lovers like myself. Frilu is perfect for an intimate dinner with your special person.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but it far surpassed any and all expectations. The 14 courses will leave you full without a doubt. The non alcoholic pairing was wonderful, the chef and sommelier clearly worked in sync to make the meal an experience on all fronts. Apple pie dessert mocktail with cinnamon was amazing. Surely in the upper echelon of michelin stars I’ve been to.

A fantastic experience. The food was superb. The beverage pairings were new and exciting. The service was impeccable from the very beginning. The most interesting thing I found about the cuisine was that the chef used humble ingredients and elevated them to a Michelin Star level. The flavours were perfectly matched with the dish and the accompanying sauce.Atmosphere was perfect, not loud or distracting. The lighting was perfect. Did not feel cramped or over crowded.I would definitely visit again.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to our guest that preferred "cooked" options. Seamlessly made the accommodation while keeping true to the presentation and taste

Amazing experience and well deserved the star! I like that the payment is done before the dinner so you are there for an immersive experience. The dishes all had perfect texture with a mix of balanced flavors. The ingredients are super fresh and my personal favorite is the snack dishes and the pork chop and the bison. We also did the non alcoholic pairing, and I love some of the drinks! There are few that had a quite surprising taste so worth trying those as well. And lastly, without any doubt, the service we experienced was top notch. By the way, the portion is quite good for a total of 13 dishes!

Went for a special meal to celebrate a special occasion. Experience was superb: carefully choreographed courses and beverage pairings, genuine natural ingredients, exquisitely constructed dishes, and the pleasant, classy, yet relaxed service round out the evening! Even the scheduling was carefully thought through, and they know who you are when you walk in without even having to ask. Payment was made prior which makes the whole experience even smoother. Will go back for more!

Very un-pretension super high end restaurant. Service staff were wonderful, chef was very approachable and came to speak with us a few times. High attention to detail. Simple dishes with huge depth. We had the summer menu but chef said they change seasonally. Very much worth the price tag if you can afford it, will be coming back.

Amazing mind-blowing dishes! I’ve visited several Michelin-starred restaurants and so far this one has been the absolute BEST. The people who run the place take part of every part of the amazing journey that is a 10-course meal, making sure you have the absolute best experience you can have. The staff are very generous and knowledgeable. Ask them anything, but they’ll know and will be kind to explain! We only had one day in Toronto and I am so glad we got to spend the evening in Frilu!

We had dined in many Michelin starred restaurants and FRILU is our favourite one. Fresh seafood at its best, especially the salmon roe and crabs. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of the ingredients. They also have a non-alcohol drinks pairing for those who do not drink alcohol. Very thoughtful. The Hojicha tea was impressive, tastes just like the one in Japan. The ambience was the best. All the tables were separated quite far away that provides enough privacy for each of us. We had a wonderful night. Can’t wait to visit again!
