We went during a sunday lunchtime so the restaurant was very crowded but thankfully didn’t have to wait in line. The servers were very efficient! I ordered the kyoza kalguksu and it was delicious. Their jaeyuk jungsik is also worth a try. I would def recommend!

Walking into the restaurant it's well lit and has some of the best decor that I've seen in a modern Korean restaurant. It's clean, sleek, and spacious. Even though I visited at an off hour (2pm on a Wednesday) the place was still packed. I didn't have to wait for seating though.I ordered the Spicy Kalguksu and later added an order of the Mandu or King Size Dumplings. The server was quite brusque with me throughout the whole meal but the food always arrived quite promptly. When it came to the Spicy Kalguksu the noodles were absolutely delicious. Slippery and smooth they went down very easily and they had just the right amount of chewiness. The broth itself was very light and the spiciness was not overwhelming. I would put the heat at a 4 out of 10 so I would say most people could handle it. There is a very faint beef flavour along with a nice seafood umami from what I presume is seaweed. If I had to give it a comparison I would say it was somewhere between pho and a pack of Shin Ramyun. The kimchi wasn't very sour and wasn't very fermented but it's packed with umami. There was a small dollop of ground beef on top, just enough to say that there was but from what little I've had of it the beef was well seasoned and delicious. The noodles themselves weren't that filling and if you have a large appetite like me I would recommend ordering an add on. In this case I got the Mandu which came with 6 large sized dumplings. One thing that struck me was how good the skin of the Mandu was. Just like the noodles it was pleasantly chewy and had a very sloppy and smooth mouth feel. It's very hard to achieve that balance when it comes to working with flour and I have to really commend them for it. Their mandu filling was surprisingly soft and a contrast to some that I've had where it feels like you're eating a meatball wrapped in dumpling skin. I can't say much to the flavours themselves other than its well balanced and light. I would highly recommend eating the kimchi with it to add extra umami with the dish.In conclusion I think this place is a good spot if you are on your lunch break and you want something affordable to eat and you want to be served fast. The portions aren't amazing but the price is reasonable.

Overall, this is a good place for Korean style noodles. We tried the dumplings, the noodles, the clam noodles, and the seafood pancake. They also gave a generous serving of kimchi. I would say my favorite is the original noodles. The clam noodles comes with a lot of clams (and 1 shrimp) and the soup is less intense than the original, but it is a few dollars extra. The portions for the noodles are very generous. The dumpling was good though there are other places that do this better. Seafood pancake is great - was nice and crispy. I also wish there was some sauce for the seafood pancake and dumplings. There is some pickled onion/peppers that is supposed to be sauce for the dumplings / seafood pancake, but that is a little underwhelming - would have liked some vinegar or something like that. Kimchi is delectable. Service is a bit slow when it gets busy. They do have a waitlist system if there are no spots. Also, price is very good (especially the noodles) and there is a cash discount for $30+. They also take AMEX.

We came here on the biggest snow day, so luckily that meant it wasn't too busy when we arrived. I hear it's usually quite crowded and they don't take reservation. We ordered a soup noodle (they're ALL good and comforting so you honestly can't go wrong), and an order of the gyoza. They were huge and so delicious. I love the thin dumpling wrapper. I went for cold noodles. Unfortunately, the usual Korean cold noodles in soup is seasonal and they didn't have it. I wish they'd put something on the menu to indicate this. Instead, I was directed to try the BiBim Kalguksu. It's also a cold noodle, but uses their regular noodles instead of the buckwheat ones. It turned out to be like a giant salad. Tons of veggies and all mixed together with the sauce, it was delicious. I don't know that it hit the spot for me really, but I would be happy to order that again if the cold noodles weren't available. The noodles have a great texture and I like the side dishes they offer. Definitely would like to come back again.

We arrived around 5:45 on a Saturday and we added ourselves to the waitlist. It was worth the wait! The food was all fantastic and the portions were good! Favourites were the giant dumplings, seafood pancake and the beef bulgogi. (Not seen in photo: the soup noodle that came with the beef combo)Easy to find parking.

On entry, if crowed, you need to write your name on a list by the front door. I wasn't aware of this and was waiting to ask for a number until I saw someone after me do this. This is a busy restaurant. Service was good enough for a busy place. The food was all good. The gyoza was popular with other tables so decided to give it a try. I didn't think it was that great. I guess it is to your personal taste. I would return.

Trying this place for the first time was quite the game-changer. My friend recommended this place to me as I'm a huge kimchi fan and it did not disappoint! I heard that this place gets very busy and they don't take resos so we rushed over to arrive before 6pm on a Friday evening. Luckily, this was just in time as when we arrived, there was barely a wait to get our table. But only 10 minutes later the crowd started to build, with people waiting outside and by the entrance. So a helpful tip is to get here before 6 to avoid a decent wait. I tried their meat KalGukSu which I really enjoyed. The soup was comforting and light... I liked that it didn't taste too heavy. The meat was also very tender and fresh tasting. The highlight of course was me was their fresh kimchi. It hits diff. They are also very generous with the portion and provide refills. The service is very to the point... they come to take your order but after that, it felt a bit like they were avoiding eye contact. Also, because they get so busy, you feel a little rushed when eating because you can tell they're waiting on you to finish so they can give your table to the next in line. But I can't fault them for being popular. Just be advised that you can't really chill or have lengthy catch up sessions here. So have a next place in mind if you're going here for an outing.

Went for dinner with a friend. The wait was pretty long as it was quite packed on the Friday evening. Food was pretty good, service was good. We ordered two types of dumpling, I preferred the one with kimchi. The kimchi here has a good kick, I really enjoyed it!
