Hired Star Foods for our corporate event. We wanted a break from the stuffy large meeting room and have an outdoor BBQ. Star Foods delivered BIG time! The before and after service was outstanding. Incredibly friendly. Efficient setup. Amazing food! Hamburgers, chicken burgers, veggie burgers, cheeseburgers, French fries, all so delicious! They were also very generous providing more food that we paid for. I would HIGHLY recommend. They took our function to the next level. Thank you so very much.

My Fiancé and I hosted our engagement party, and had Star Food Cater. It was such a success-every single guest raved about the food and service. Justin and Devon set up all the equipment with ease and cleaned up so quickly. It was so easy finalizing the menu with Justin, and made amazing recommendations on food. Place has really gone down hill. Service has changed drastically since 2019. Much smaller portions , poorer quality meat . Can’t even get a refill on a drink . Look else where for quality and consistency now unfortunately. They had there time and that time has past . RIP

The original Mr Star would be ashamed at how dirty and unkept this restaurant is today. I first visited the Golden Star in the 70’s and it was always spotless, friendly and great burgers and fries. Fast forward and the restaurant is dirty, unfriendly and no longer what it once was. Take greater pride in the legacy that is the Golden Star and stop living off its past reputation that your Grandparents left for you.

This place is great to go to with your family, a couple of friends, or even by yourself! I go here all the time and you'll see regular customers there too. Their onion rings and sweet potato fries are HEAVENLY and their veggie burgers are great too, considering I'm a vegetarian and some places just don't know how it's done. It's a cute place to go and I love how they stick to their old-fashioned roots!

The homemade All-Star burgers were great. Big, juicy, and filling. The onion rings were crispy and delicious. But the customer service! No greetings. No 'How can I help you?' Not a care by any of the staff members. Read other reviews on this site and found out I wasn't alone. If I could talk to management at Golden Star Burgers, I would remind them of the value of attracting new customers and how to keep existing ones. The food was great. Had our customer experience been even remotely better, I would have gone back.

My husband and I ordered their fish and chips ...the French fries were on the cool side but ok...we got two tiny pieces of 'fish' for $15.50 (& they forgot the tartar sauce)! Definitely not worth the $! We also ordered their wings.....the most tiniest wings we ever seen. We paid a total of $33 for everything....definitely was not worth it..will never order from them again.

I went to Golden Star with my granddaughter and believe me it was a horrible experience for me. My granddaughter wanted to try the restaurant so we stood in line, When it came our turn to order, we felt the staff were completely indifferent. It was quite noisy in there, and I was not talking loud enough for them to hear my order. After repeating what I wanted, the two people behind the counter were sniggering and just being quite frankly ageist. They were muttering something to each other. My granddaughter spoke to them and gave my order. I came away from there feeling awful and completely diminished. If that is the way this place treats older folk, what does that say? Add to this that the food was way overpriced for what you get. Somehow those men working behind the counter think they are above the rest of this. Do they treat their own older family members like this? My granddaughter was completely embarrassed and apologised....but it was not her fault. I would def. not recommend this place, they should be ashamed of themselves. You get one star, because I have no choice in order to post this comment!!!!

I remember coming here in the early 1990s and loved it then. It still has one of the best burgers in town, especially the homemade burger. They serve beer and have a TV as well. I watched the hockey playoffs while having my food. Great food, excellent customer service and hope they do not renovate as I love the classic diner look! If you have never been here, it is a must! God bless.

When you walk in it feels like you've time travelled back to the 80's. The burgers are classic charbroiled and they have other tasty items like sweet potato fries, onion rings. The Homeburger is the best thing there. Super meaty and juicy patty. Mouth watering stuff.

not properly cooked burger, service zero, I and my wife got sick after we eat the sandwich. i heard a lot about this place, but my experience , ..... I will never go and recommend anyone to go to this restaurant.

Went here a few months ago, burger was really good. the staff was really friendly. Ya the place wasn't the greatest looking but thats not why I went there, i went for the delicious burger :) looking forward to going again
