The Fish & Chip Place Reviews
My husband and I ate in your restaurant yesterday first time. We ordered the white fish 6 pieces $44.00. We were told that the pieces are not small but are a good size. These pieces are very small 2 ounces at the most that’s with the batter. The french fries were cold and hard overcooked. hard, and they need oil to be changed. This meal was very expensive for what we got and like I said the pieces are very small. The waiter told us everybody likes hard fries. Well we don’t like fries that you have to chew. French fries should be soft and delicious. These were awful and the waiter thought there was nothing wrong with them even though when you hit it on the table you can hear it crunch even McDonald’s fries are better than your fries. The waiter told us nobody else had returned her fries, which is not true. We saw the waiters take away fries and bring new fries several times. We were very very disappointed to say the least
Enjoyed my 1st dinner experience at this establishment. The waiting staff was very welcoming, not rushed, courteous efficient mode. My spouse and I rate it a 5 star out of 5! Return visit us the near future

So disappointed with our favourite place to have fish and chips in Tobermory. We've been going for years, mostly during the summer months and really enjoyed the food, waitstaff and location. But two years in a row, we've been camping just before Thanksgiving and wanted to have the last fish and chips of the season. This year, we walked by on Thursday the 5th and saw their blackboard out front posting their hours over the long weekend and came back the next day as per the posted hours. The place was closed!!! No change to the blackboard and posted hours. When we called, the message said they were open! A similar thing happened last year. Obviously we went elsewhere for lunch and maybe we'll just have to skip this place in the future! If perhaps there's a staffing problem, as some of the other local business people suggested when we mentioned our story, they should just close out the season earlier... change their phone message and their shop signage to let peope know. Problem solved!
