Had a really exceptional experience at Affinity. The freshwater omakase was an eye opening way to experience local fish. Knowledgeable, patient chefs and staff who explained every detail. Sake pairings were awesome. 10/10 highly recommended.

Affinity Fish is a gem. Nestled in Brock Village, this shop and small restaurant offers innovative dishes centered around Canadian lake fish and veggies. Having attended multiple dinners, I can attest to the refreshing attention to detail that permeates every aspect of the experience. From the beautifully crafted ceramics to the meticulous care taken in prepping the fish, it's evident that every element has been thoughtfully considered. It's a testament to the dedication and passion of the team behind Affinity Fish. A must-visit for anyone looking to explore the flavors of Canada's lakes in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

Best fish in the city by far!! This place is a real gem! My favorite is white fish, burbot and trout. Dry aged great lake fish that's sustainable and truly delicious. How lucky are we to have a store like this in the city!!!

This place serves local raw fish, sashimi style. I had the $85 tasting menu. Definitely get the $50 sake pairing, it's worth it and pour it very generous. I do think the $85 tasting menu was overpriced given what was served. Started with a dashi soup, daikon, onigiri and a 8 pieces of sashimi and finished with poached pair. They have limited seatings so make sure you make a reservation.

Hi I attended the fish butchery school in November 2023. Matt and John did an excellent job of teaching the filleting and deboning of a round fish in a way that removes all bones but minimizes the loss of meat. The session included demonstrating the filleting and deboning process then trying a fish yourself; then they demonstrated again and then you tired another fish. Matt and John showed a preferred way to cook the fish and prepared a small meal with rice. You kept the fillets from the two fish you prepared as well and some sauces. I took the session to better learn how to fillet fish I catch while camping. I would highly recommend this session to anyone who is interested either professionally or as a hobby in learning these skills.
Affinity has been such a welcome addition to the neighborhood! I love getting fresh fish from them, especially getting to watch them carve it up in front of me - that’s how fresh this fish is.Their tasting menu nights are also incredible. The vibe, knowledge & quality of the food is out of this world. Such a great hidden gem!

We came here for a private Kaiseki dinner and it did not disappoint in the slightest. We got one dinner with the sake pairing which was extremely delightful the sake and fish went perfectly together! The dinner was amazing and was very tough to choose a favourite but I think was the Ling-Kimo which is a burbot liver paired with ponzu jelly, chive and nori. You are going to want to savour this as the flavours and textures are incredible! Packed with umami, rich and buttery complimented with the tangy but sweet ponzu jelly and finished with the nori crunch and salt was perfection! Luckily you get two pieces! My second favourite item on this menu was the candy roasted squash brulee, the gomadofu is so delicious I could eat this everyday for dessert! I love this sesame paste tofu (note there is no actual tofu in this) is so damn yummy! Also the candied sage pieces are so cute, and edible!Overall well worth checking out, these guys work with a lot of different local fisheries, truly outstanding farm to table meal. Amazing presentation, great atmosphere and of course delicious food ??
