I come here for uber and doordash. It is a very interesting place. The staff is very attentive. I don't know anything about food because I've never eaten it.

Poor customer service and product quality - my partner wasn't greeted or acknowledged when it was his turn to order, just stared at to start his order; the credit card machine was slammed in front of him before he finished placing his order for more items, and worst of all - the bubble tea was so grainy that he choked immediately after we left the store. Because he has ordered the same type of drink for years, we know it was not properly made - I have reason to suspect on purpose. As someone who has worked in food and beverage customer service for a decade, this was hard to witness and never okay.

I have always like this place and kept buying for years until there was one girl who really disgusted me today around 4:35 pm on Mar 23, 2024 with her bad attitude and her words which made me really uncomfortable. I even signed up the VIP membership. She didn’t ask for if i am membership just went straight to charge and until she saw the vip and gift card which i always pre-loaded to save the trouble of receipts. She became very upset and impatient. I sensed the irritations from her. At the end i asked for a bag which I rarely want one as i always put the foods in my tote. But today the tote was way too full and heavy so I asked for a bag. I just realized they start to charge for the bag which is totally fine after I got the confirm from the manager there I believe. I replied nicely sure you can charge from my gift card. And she became even more impatient as her face is too obvious to show so I HAD to call it out!!! I don’t deserve such an attitude! She said Cus I was on the phone. Excuse me , I had to hang up my call just to buy foods there?! I have to change my work schedule to fit into her preferences?! I highly doubt it was because she processed the transaction and realized last min that I have a VIp membership that she had to cancel and redo everything again. The troublesome bothered her!! If that’s the case, why even set up a vip program!? And why her attitude is like this!!! Why this behaviours like she owns the bakery?! And this is the customer service we should get from her?!like literally this is out of nowhere and I got this mistreat! If she s not happy with her job or tired, please take a break and come back. I don’t have the obligation to take her attitude! If this get worse I will definitely get my lawyer team involved! This is my first bad review! I can’t take this! And I won’t take this! I need an explanation or resolution towards this!!

The desserts are spot on and not too sweet; which is perfect for indulging! I wish they had lactose free milk as well and not just regular. The staff is very nice; though sometimes a little frazzled! But sweet nonetheless.

Pre-ordered a Taro Mousse Birthday Cake and it was incredibly delicious! Loved the flavour, the lil macarons decorated on top. It was superb! Thank you!!

Service was good. Bubble tea was standard.I felt their baked goods looked much better than they tasted. Felt they were of lower quality but had premium prices. Given that Asian bakery’s use less rich ingredients ie pure butter or cheese etc etc in their recipes…. but they were priced similar to a French style bakery.Their desserts felt like they tried to blur the lines, elevating the prices but not the products.I’d rather hit up Chinatown and go to an authentic bakery or a European one, than this fusion style which is neither here nor there.

The pastries sold at Bake Code all have pretty shapes, but the taste is disappointing. It lacks buttery flavor and richness, tasting more like factory-made bread with no depth. Bread from Japanese or Korean convenience stores might be better... There's a lack of good options on Yonge St in Uptown, and while Bake Code does well in business, there's a hope for better bakeries to emerge.

I’ve been here around 3 times and tried their matcha tiramisu, matcha ring, and taro custard bun. Their tirimisu was a bit dry for a cake but i went late so it could have just been out for too long. the matcha part also wasn’t very strong. the matcha ring just tasted like a fluffy bagel with read bean. didn’t taste the matcha. the taro custard bun was actually pretty good, very soft on the inside and the taro custard part was very tasty. Overall though, i would say paying 6 dollars for one piece isn’t too worth it (except for the cake) definitely not a good place to go to for those craving matcha.
