Despite the menu saying that there would not be food substations, the waitress was helpful in accommodating our dietary needs. The food was good, but the portions were small for the high price of the items. The Gnocchi pasta was $39 and served on a large plate with a small amount of pasta.Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Did not have Halal options.Parking: Toronto parking is rough

Bar Mercurio is a trifecta. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and meals that never disappoint. My family has dietary restrictions and Joe and his staff always find us the perfect meal. If you love italian bistro, you will love Bar Mercurio.

Bar Mercurio is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. The owner, Joe, tolerates no compromises, from the ingredients to how the food is prepared, from the wait staff to how the food is presented. Dining there is like having a great meal at home with the family, delicious and relaxed. This is no Olive Garden, it is for people who appreciate the difference between eating and enjoying experience of eating.

I rarely use words like this in a review but this is the best pizza I have ever had. The sourdough crust makes for a phenomenal platform for the delivery of quality ingredients. We were only there for 5 days but managed to eat here 3 times - which I never do when in a new city. I have had quality pizza all over the world but this is my favorite! The pasta dishes we experienced were also superb! I can’t recommend highly enough. Some very nice wines also!

Small, but intimate. Food was flavored beautifully. Seated at bar and service was spot on. Highly recommend the warm olive appetizer with house bread sprinkled with freshly grated Parmesan. Perfect way to begin dinner.

Recommended by a friend and he didn't steer me wrong, this quant little Italian restaurant bar, owned and operated by Giuseppe, hits the spot. I had the octopus antipasto and the Calabrese pizza, both excellent (forgot to take a photo of the pizza). Giuseppe's own mother makes the delicious Tiramisu desert (according to my friend who was there with me) offered by the restaurant.

Intro - Do not leave Toronto without visiting Bar Mercurio!I am in Toronto for business and on my last day too tired to trek downtown for dinner. I make it a rule not not dine in hotels I stay at I would rather experience the local flavours. I walked past Bar Mercurio on my way back and it looked inviting so it stuck in my mind enough I looked them up online to find out they do sourdough pizza with 72 hours of fermentation. I stopped in with a warm welcome seated at the bar and ordered a pepperoni pizza. I have had pizza in all the must go spots there are NYC, Chicago and more. Without reservation I will say this is the best pepperoni pizza I have ever had in my 70+ years as I said in the into don’t leave Toronto without stopping in nat Bar Mercurio it’s unforgettable.Bryon
