I really liked this place. The Portuguese custard tarts were done right unlike Eve’s Temptations in the basement. These were fresh, the custard in the middle was smooth and melted right in my mouth. I regret not buying like a dozen of these. Cost of one was very cheap. Service was attentive and friendly. You just walk up, order, and then find a seat somewhere in the market. There was no line when I ordered and that was on a Saturday morning.

Eugene was very accommodating to last minute changes to my large catering order during a busy lunch service. I appreciate the care that was taken to ensure the order was packed in a way that I could easily divide it between two separate locations. The food was delicious as always. Thanks again!

I’ve had their custard tarts maybe too many times now. I can attest they are always warm and crunchy. The dough is so flaky and it’s always a treat to go and say hello to such nice people.

St Lawrence Market is filled with hidden gems, and churrasco is no exception. Famous for their authentic portugese chicken, it comes in good portions with combos including rice and either veggies or fries. The real kicker is the tangy sauce served on the side, which helps take the chicken to that next level. Overall a great meal!

I love this place, i've been going here for about 20 years! The service is great, the guy at the counter is super nice. The chicken is the star here, especially with that crazy good homemade sauce, its just excellent. last i was there i ordered a half chicken, rice and potatoes, and wow what a HUGE serving all for roughly $12.50, even if you're not a fan of churrasco, their rotisserie chicken is out of this world. Love this place, great value, great food

Only got a tart, custard was good but the pasty wasn’t the best- it was very thin and I had to tear it with my teeth, strange. Overall okay had better elsewhere.

Make sure you ask for the type of chicken you want or it’ll default to rotisserie. I always want charcoal grilled or otherwise there’s no point for me as I can buy rotisserie anywhere, but a few times I forgot to ask for grilled a couple of times, and they never verified with me so I was super disappointed I got rotisserie. Also, ensure you get the tiny sauce because sometimes they forget and often they’ll put very little sauce on the chicken. The food is tasty, really cheap, and the portion is big! Additionally, Eugene the owner is nice and patient. One the women by the sandwiches will ignore you and turn her back on her phone though.

I’ve had the wonderful privilege to travel to Portugal and had the best food of my life there. Imagine my delight stumbling upon this walk up/counter service authentic Portuguese food option. I was visiting Toronto for four days and three of them included meals from here. I’m not ashamed….I’m satisfied, feel great and planning my next trip to Lisbon now. GO TO THIS PLACE!! Chicken bbq and Portuguese egg tarts hit the spot every time.

Overall not 5 stars for me only because I'm not dying to revisit but would get an egg tart if I was in St. Lawrence!Portuguese egg tart had a smooth, silky consistency and we decided to get another one - 9/10Coconut tart had great flavor and was moist on the inside - 8/10Cash only!

We went here just for the egg custards Sadly being Asian meant our standards were incredibly highAsian egg custards/egg tarts are such a thing of reverence, but we were hopeful. The pastry was actually delicious and more of a European way of making them. But the custard filling was not as smooth as we normally like. The service was good and to the pointThere was no seating as it's a walk up location
