This place has gone downhill so much. The quality is not even close to other ice cream shops. Even though I want more ice cream shops near me, I have to leave a negative review. The current shop just doesn't seem to care about customer satisfaction anymore. It's such a shame, as I used to really enjoy coming here for a sweet treat and was disappointed each visits in the recent years. Hopefully, a new business can come in and revitalize this area with a delicious and enjoyable ice cream shop that the community can truly appreciate!Update: I was hoping this review can prompt the owner's attention for improvement. Based on the owner's response, I can see why the place went downhill now and why the employees there don't look like they want to be there.

The ice cream in the product is great but the price points are way off it's really expensive I don't see how you can go there with the family I took my mom she got a Cup with some toppings I got a cone and some toppings , like 30 bucks. Again the quality is great No denying is really good if you want to treat but you're going to pay

Ice cream was freezer burnt. There was no option to walk into their shop and see the flavors or selection. I had to choose from paper and my order was wrong. We didn’t enjoy it.

Called and asked if they had any Rum/Raisen ice cream. The nice lady on the phone said she had thr best in the city and she wasn't lying! I gotta say as a proud Jamaican, wonderful tasting ice cream. Lived in the area for a long time and this is the place to be in the Spring/Summer. Get your $18 buckets for the value!

Good ice cream but no space to sit and very rushed experience. Didn’t realize the ice creams come with all these toppings…Wouldn’t go back

Ice cream is not only delicious but also served generously, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. It's a bit disappointing that the space is so cramped, only able to accommodate three lines inside. Hopefully, they'll consider expanding to provide a more comfortable experience for their customers. The interior, especially the ceiling, seems to be a hit with kids, adding to the overall charm of the place.

Easy parking with bright colourful character. If you're looking for ice cream dreams it's one of the best spots in the city if not a little over the top. Frankly it's the wildness of what's available to you that you go. Is it the #1 Best ice cream in the city? No. Is it a destination on its own? Yes. Everyone wants to get their 'gram on once served. We got shakes this time as driving with a mountain of ice cream in a cup or cone would be difficult to say the least. The cotton candy was a nice surprise and, while I don't like cotton candy usually, was really good.

Would be helpful to show all the ice-cream flavors to kids. The inside access is still restricted.

Sad to say this will probably be my last time visiting Dutch Dreams. It’s gone waaaaaaayyyyy downhill. Firstly they’ve removed the whole experience of the “ice cream shoppe”. The social distancing measures they put in place for COVID are still there. You can’t look at all the ice creams anymore, you’re not up at the counter pointing out the flavours you want (it’s been said many times, we all “eat with our eyes” long before the first bite), and you don’t see your ice cream being scooped out. This also means there is no indoor seating anymore. So if the weather’s not great you may wind up in your vehicle eating your ice cream (and hoping the kiddos will be neat… ?).Secondly, and most importantly, the quality is now only in your dreams, instead of on your cone. They’ve started “cutting” the cream with either more milk or possibly even water. The texture… well there’s an actual texture to the ice cream now, instead of the smooth creaminess from even a year ago. I had ice crystals in my ice cream, and the cookie dough bits in the “batta’s cupboard” is now cylinders of granulated sugar, not “actual” dough (yes, I realize it is different from a dough you would bake, but it used to taste the same, not anymore). As other people have mentioned the waffle cone is no longer an actual cone, it’s about 2/3 of one shaped into a cup. Not only do I like getting a cone because I try to stay away from single use where possible (it’s also almost impossible to not use a spoon because of the size ratios) but you pay $2 for it, I expect a whole cone for that!Speaking of the cone… mine was almost black. And this was deemed acceptable to serve. It’s not. Plain and simple. Is it easy to over cook waffle cone, for sure - take your eyes off them for 2 seconds too long at the wrong time and… burnt. It is then garbage. If people are paying for it, serving food that is almost charcoal (unless requested or actually part of the food item) is not acceptable. To their credit they did give me a replacement cone, but it should have never been served in the first place. My family and I have been going to Dutch Dreams since they were on the other side of St Clair, and I have never had anything but an amazing experience… seems like those days are strictly in the past. I have been noticing a decline over the past year or so, but today was just horrible. And disappointing. I’m not sure if it’s under new ownership, or they’ve just gotten lazy and greedy, but this visit is officially the last time I will be giving them my money. At close to $10 for a single scoop waffle cone ice cream, I know there are many other places in Toronto where I can feel the product justifies the price point.

Got a social cone for $9.50 which is basically a waffle cone with a scoop of ice cream. Was pricy, I can definitely get for cheaper at other ice cream places. The ice cream was good but the waffle cone which I paid extra for was so burnt it hurt my teeth to eat.

Today we visited one of Toronto’s most noted ice cream parlour - Dutch Dreams!Located at Vaughn and St. Clair (mid-town), this quaint ice creamery was the perfect treat for a Sunday afternoon. Boasting more than 25 flavors and cone options, everyone’s sweet tooth is soothed.I bought chocolate (see photo attached) and my date bought pralines and cream. Both were bursting with rich flavors and both were paired with cotton candy and a cherry on top. The only thing I didn’t like is the plastic spoons are too bendable compared to the hardness of the ice cream. Please note that this does not stop me or anyone else from buying this delicious ice cream. We spent $23 for both orders.Customer service was very good - our order was repeated to make sure there were no errors. Staff had our order ready in moments. While we were there, we noticed several families enjoying their Dutch Dreams experience. The store is decorated with memorabilia from Holland, and also offers popcorn and candies from their homeland. If you’re visiting Toronto, or if you’re from Toronto and want a day out, a highly recommend Dutch Dreams There is an outdoor seated area for you to enjoy your treat. As this is a small space (where you order ice cream), people in wheelchairs may have difficulty entering the store. As for parking, street parking is limited but available.Trust me, you will enjoy this experience and it is not a dream! ?♥️✨Parking: Limited street parkingWheelchair accessibility: Very limited

Kind of disappointing, the cone was extremely burnt and must have had some cross contamination because it tasted like mint instead of the cotton candy flavour I chose. The wildberry cheesecake ice cream didn't have a strong flavour either. The place was probably cute before but a lot of it needs some cleaning and a fresh coat of paint and they have a counter that they've placed which doesn't allow you to really enter the shop or actually see the ice cream flavours! I imagine it was a covid measure but I'm writing this review in March 2024...
