Our Father’s Day was celebrated with our kids and a festival a BBQ courtesy of the team at Earlscourt. This nondescript basement location provided lots a great food and a fun, casual & playful atmosphere enjoyed by our 6 person group. Platters were enjoyed but the cocktails were definitely hit and miss through our evening. Definitely recommend a reservation on the weekend as there was a line up for tables as we left.

*urp* So we just got the Pit Master Platter and I'm seriously impressed. The wings are shockingly good and really different, done until they're still just moist and juicy and crispish, with a nice salty/sweet dust after the smoke. The brisket is perfect, fork-tender and cooked until there's just exactly enough residual collagen that it holds together in a slice. The ribs are competition-style, sticking to the bone a bit but giving way with a little encouragement. The sausage - this is the first time I've understood why people put sausage on the menu at a BBQ joint. Crisp exterior, moist interior, a nice level of hot - it's a lightbulb moment. Where do they get this sausage?Everything's quite seasoned but not over-smoked, and the sauces (white, mustard, red) are all on point. The staff were genuinely engaged and welcoming, and my server was attentive, friendly and patient through a technical glitch.BBQ is hard to produce consistently in volume and a lot of Toronto places start strong with an amazing pit master, then slide. Based on tonight's meal Jason's just getting better the staff care and the quality shows.*Full disclosure. I met Jason once, when he was starting out at the Monarch Tavern. We had a good, nerdy conversation.

We heard great things about this place and perhaps dine-in is different, but our takeout order was a little disappointing. Expensive for what you get and it was very average. The breading was pretty heavy and the food was overall very greasy. I do want to give bonus points for having a bring-back container program. In sum, might just not be the joint for us.

Ew! Gross! This is by far the worst bbq I’ve ever had. My family and I were looking forward to trying a new restaurant for dinner as we just moved to the area. First of all, service was terrible and we were told we couldn’t have another rack of ribs. Isn’t your main dish ribs?! Why are you out of them? Weird.Anyways, we got our rack of ribs which was split into two plastic containers that made the food sweat and get soggy. The sides consisted of a handful of bottom-of-the-bin fries and a cup of coleslaw. We each had three ribs in our container!!! Now I’m not a mathematician, but that doesn’t equal a rack of ribs to me. Not to mention, everything was cold and the ribs were super dry and partly undercooked. Thanks but I’ll stick to my Walmart ribs. Save your $90 and get you a rack from Walmart!

Waaaaaaaay too well done. Also semi-agressive staff, basically wanted to pick my seat and food for me.

I came here on Friday night for my fiance's birthday with a few friends. We live a 15 minute walk away and finally got to try it. Everything was incredible. The menu had the best drink selection I've ever seen and found a new favourite beer! (I'm not a beer person at all lol) The food was outstanding and portions were huge. It's not often I can't finish my food. My fiance wanted a full rack of ribs but they insisted he get a half rack and then see, they were right, he was super satisfied with just that and he's a big eater. Service was impeccable. The staff were so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. They even accommodated our super annoying separate bill situation which I felt terrible about, but that's what happens when it's someone's birthday and someone in the party wants to pay for their drinks! We will definitely become regulars here and I can't wait to come back for karaoke and to try other things off the menu!

The food was good enough but trying to get my deposit back on the takeout container was a sh**-show. The concept is a good one for returning the plastic container for reuse but there is NO INFORMATION on the Earlscourt website about how to get your deposit back. There is a QR code on the bottom of the containers but scanning it doesn't work with a QR reader. Nowhere on the sticker does it say you have to download an app. I made a special trip to the restaurant to get my deposit back but was told i had to download the app. WHAT APP? WHERE IS THE INFO ABOUT IT? No flyer included in our takeout. Owner says there are posters everywhere in the restaurant but this is takeout...you run in and run out, no time to scan posters on the wall. Instead of apologizing for my trouble, the owner gets argumentative and no offer of anything for my trouble. He had to tell me what was the name of the app so that i could get it in order to get my deposit back. ANNNNND i STILL have to go back to drop off the containers. Not doing that again. Terrible experience.

Even though this location has great reviews, my take-out experience was not great. The pulled pork poutine did not have pulled pork! The fries were average but soggy. The gravy was too salty and had little flavour. I also ordered the Kill Zone hot sauce, which tasted like the Asian grocery store fresh-chili hot sauces. Otherwise, the brisket was fine and the slaw was good.I ordered from their website, which was well-designed. Pickup was quick and easy. They also use the friendlier reusable containers.

Everything was yummy. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Cute Christmas tree inside. Big screen for sports.Huge selection of drinks to choose from. We had about ten people and they handled us really well and made the night fun and smooth.

If you want to go and drink a really good beer and eat some incredible chicken or duck breast or brisket or pulled pork then this is your place! Oh! and don't forget to order the spring rolls!

I didn't force them to use a third party delivery company but when I complained I was told to get off my a** to go there and laughed at when I mentioned an injury and a death in the family.

Excellent food and service. The cook is very friendly and the staff are great. Love the beer selection and the brisket is too die for!

We came here to try their DineTO offer. $20 for a sandwich + hush puppies or a brownie. We got the beef brisket sandwich and the Memphis peacemaker sandwich (combination of beef brisket and pulled pork). Sandwiches were ok and came with coleslaw and lots of fries. They give a bottles of ketchup, mustard, and bbq sauce so you can add more to your sandwich if you like. Also tried both the hush puppies and the brownie. Hush puppies were good and came with a tangy sauce on the side. Brownie was nothing special. Overall the food was ok and the value was good for the DineTO offer.

I always stop buying some food in this place. I enjoy the swift customer service and well made dishes. Keep up the good work.
