My friend and I returned to Enoteca Sociale because we had been before and it was great. But it's safe to say that it was not a good second experience. The first person we were greeted with when we walked in was a girl who was slouching over the counter with her chin resting on her face. We were then seated and it took quite some time before we were given menus or offered any water.A pretty rude waitress took our order, and we ordered a Tagliatelle and my friend ordered a pasta that originally has pork in it, but she ordered a vegetarian version of it due to dietary and religious restrictions (which she stated very clearly). However, when our two pastas were served together, her pasta contained pork which she clearly requested be removed. I waited for my friend's pasta to arrive properly, which made my pasta go cold, making it all around a bad experience the second time around. We were not given any complementary dishes or offered any gestures minus an apology. In general, the only person who saved this experience was the waiter man who kept coming to pour us water and ask if everything was tasting alright.I'm not sure if I will be returning any time soon.

A bit overserved & over pressured. Despite ordering a bottle of wine, attempting to have a detailed conversation with my dinner friend over 3 courses, we were constantly interrupted (every 10 mins...literally) & getting pushed to finish our dinner in just over an hour despite having the table for 2 hours as stated on the reservation. I could see my friend was upset & frustrated too. Also, my friend & I were both dressed appropriately & were quiet/unassuming. There were a few empty tables between dinner service times and people were not lined up so there was no reason for ongoing pushes/interruptions. However, I think good, well intentioned people run the restaurant though. And I also think that customers come in for an experience that includes relaxed but efficient service, atmosphere, and food. The food was decent, not over the top for me...the waiter seemed very enthusiastic about the food but I didnt share the same emotions after the appetizer. I tried a menu special item that maybe just didn't work for me or I didn't have a chance to savour it or enjoy it as much as I could have. Given my experience (I have gone to over 750 prime restaurants in the last 30 years so I do have a lot of comparisions to draw on as well)...I would not recommend to friends or go back though. :(

My wife and I had dinner here, visiting from New York. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was great. Can't wait to come back and enjoy everything that this restaurant has to offer. Thank you!

Forcing people to provide credit card info for reservations and imposing them with exorbitant cancellation fees is ridiculous.

Was really hoping to enjoy this place after the rave reviews but it was quite disappointing. We had a lobster pasta which was extremely salty. The agnolotti ai funghi was underwhelming - nothing special. The female server who gave us our entrees did not offer fresh pepper and when asked for parmesan, she simply said "it's already on it" so we asked our own server behind the bar who happily helped us get more parmesan but we should not have to ask twice. Overall very mediocre experience - would not recommend.

Celebrated my birthday here with my partner and my brother who was visiting from Boston and we had such a fantastic time! We sat at the bar and the chairs were comfortable for bar seating, which was good because we ate and drank for a while. We tried 4 different pasta dishes, some really unique and delicious stuff. Portions were small so it was nice for sharing and trying different things. My brother got lots of wine recommendations from the bartender that he loved and I had some delicious spritz. The service was amazing and the manager came over and talked to us a few times, and gave us a free taste of some Italian digestive liqueur. Thank you for such a great experience!

My boyfriend and I came for our first anniversary and it was nothing less than extraordinary. Meghan was so wonderful! She was so helpful and bubbly, her recommendations were perfect. We loved the gnocchi and amatriciana, and finishing with the sticky toffee pudding was delicious!! Thank you all so much for making our night so wonderful

This review is made by my 10 years old son who really enjoyed his time there last week:The service was superb. Aliah was really nice and set the vibe. We saw Aliah making the drinks and her cool coffee. Aliah showed us the downstairs where they keep the meat! The food was incredible! By the way, I really recomend the deserts and pastas. All and all amazing place to go to if you are looking for somewhere to eat.

I normally care more about the food and I mostly ignore all reviews about a restaurant's service quality, however the treatment from the staff and the entire experience here was a major disappointment. They definitely made us feel unwanted like they were only looking for a certain cliental. If you look at some of the lower reviews of this restaurant you will see a trend in how this place tends to rush/push people out. This is not a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere and if that is what you are looking for do not eat here. Our group definitely felt pushed out even though we had reservations. Their treatment of our group really surprised us and ruined our night out.

Neighborhood Italian vibes. Lovely and chill. Food decent but didn’t light me up

Great service, cute atmosphere. Unfortunately, lack-lustre food. I feel that the people working the kitchen should be tasting the food before bringing it out because all pasta dishes were incredibly salty.

Enoteca exemplifies what great service looks like (which is rare in Toronto, and why this place stands out). Coupled with cozy atmosphere and well executed classics, this is a great spot to keep coming back to.
