It was a great experience on a Monday night. My friend and I went there, and they offered us to sit in a booth, it was an amazing setting. The only one problem was after you order through their tablet system, there is no way to turn it off. It was distracting. The food was good too, the only issue was with the sashimi (salmon) I had better salmon sashimis, but it wasn't something bad. You also couldn't order less than 15 I believe sashimi if you wanted. The sake was nice and authentic, and we enjoyed it a lot.

As soon as we walked in we were cheerily greeted by all the employees. The service was amazing. The staff worked together to clean up everything as soon as you were finished with plates or needed water. The ambiance was romantic and friendly. The booths were enclosed against the wall, which was intimate and great for conversation. You ordered directly at the booth on a screen whenever you needed anything and paid at the end. The sushi was very filling. The best miso soup I have ever had was from here. The beef gyoza was also good, especially the sauce it came with. Perfectly cooked and breaded chicken katsu. Great time!

Gurume is one of my favourite sushi places in the city and a place I find myself going back to again and again.Portion sizes and quality are good, especially for the price. I would highly recommend their ebi and scallop aburi rolls (they're torched and so delicious).I also love the atmosphere and service there, everyone is very friendly, the seating is cute, and the food comes quickly. The bathrooms are large and clean as well, which is always a nice plus. I'm sure I'll be back many more times :)

Walked by this place many times and it looked empty inside. I decided to try it out today because I did see a few customers lining up before they were even open! I visited during lunch and it was constantly busy. They also have hidden booths on the side that are not visible from the outside which explains why it always looked empty to me.I was greeted and seated right away. To order, there was a self serve tablet at the table which was very user friendly. Place was immaculate and the tablets didn’t even have any fingerprint marks! They had a simple lunch menu and I ordered the Maki Set C with a spicy dragon roll and a dragon roll. I also ordered potato croquettes on the side assuming the portions would be small… But the portions were large for both items. It took some time for me to finish everything. Both rolls and side tasted fresh and made to order. I definitely did not get that gross/sick feeling after having their deep fried croquettes which is a win! There was one main server and she was very efficient and friendly. I didn’t have to wave her down to refill my water and she stopped by my table just enough times to ask if everything was okay despite it being lunch hour. She was not overwhelming and made sure I was comfortable. I had an extremely pleasant experience and would come back to visit again.

I had gotten a salmon lovers box for lunch. It had a really good portion—defintiely stuffed by time I finished it. The sushi quality was also fresh and tasty. It was worth the extra money paid compared to normally getting sushi from a grocery store or food court.

The restaurant is very clean and nicely decor with Japanese theme. The offerings on the menu are rather expected and usual with different bentos, sushi/sashimi combinations and sushi rolls. We ordered bentos, katsu don, beef udon, and some sushi rolls. All of them are good quality and tasty as expected! The shrimp tempura is more authentic than many places! The katsu don is also nice done. The price is on the slightly expensive side but it’s somewhat worth it! I particular love the ordering pad at the table so that we can order and ask for the bill anytime!

Great atmosphere, went early on a friday evening, and the restaurant was almost all to ourselves. They have a tablet system on the tables to order, wish is nice if you forgot to order something. Good food, fairly cheap for what you get. Would go again.

Monday 12:30pm I was starving and had to eat something light before my meetings . I opted for the salmon lovers lunch special. It came with 4 nigiris , sashimi and 6pcs salmon maki and soup . There were a lot of options on the menu but had to make a quick decision based on timing ( what's the fastest best thing to order ). When I walked into the restaurant, it was a good surprise , love the feel of the place , it reminds me of the show Tokyo diner , its small, cozy , well decorated Japanese style with loads of bamboos . I was welcomed by a nice hostess / waitress . While waiting she offered and served me water ( that's what you call customer service but maybe only in Canada haha, it's not a common occurrence in nyc ). The place looks inviting , simple , clean ( though I didn't use the bathroom which is a good gauge of a restaurant). Summary - happy with my order but wished the rice was a bit more soft. I'll definitely try to come back before I leave to try the other dishes if I have time .

Sushi is always fresh and overall tasty food. But very pricy. I’d eat here more often if it was a tad more affordable!
