This restaurant is totally scam for the new comers. They specifically target new students who are looking for jobs. They don’t pay, do all the fake agreements. Such a scam I would not prefer any of the people to go there so that their business can flourish.

The Owner of this restaurant ( Mamta Verma) is a messed up individual. She steals money from her under the table employees and even goes as far as taking them to her house to get them to clean. The worst part is the refusal to pay people afterwards. Stop taking advantage of immigrants that are new to the country. Be ashamed of yourself.

Their papri chaat was lacking tamarind sauce and spiciness. Their sugar cane juice was alright. I didn’t like how we were lured into eating with them by the girl in the front who practically enforces you to grab the menu and look at it. Overall I wouldn’t come here for papri chat maybe just sugar cane juice. Also they were fighting with the next door business which was unprofessional.

I have eaten at so many Indian restaurants in Toronto. Many are excellent, but this lady's restaurant is just a step above, and I must say, it is my favourite. Sarson ka Saag: Beautiful! Not many restaurants offer this deeply flavourful dish as it is time consuming; lots of greens to wash! Cooked in mustard oil - thank you! Chana Masala: Awesome! Perfectly cooked chana with a terrific hint of grated paneer. So savory and nutritious. Baingan Bharta: Smoky eggplant that tantalizes your taste buds. Warming and exciting. Rajma Masala. Very tasty and hearty, but I prefer a thicker gravy. That's just my preference. It's still very good. I also enjoyed the Desi and Shahi Paneer. I love anything with Paneer! I don't eat a lot of meat so I cannot comment on those dishes. If Auntie has made a fresh batch homemade Aachar, she might even offer you some. OMG so good!!! I hope you try this restaurant on Gerrard Street East. You can tell it's made with experience and a lot of love.

Owner was screaming and verbally abusing her staff on the most auspicious day of the year for Hindus - Diwali (simply because they couldn't keep up with the high volume of orders). I thought I was in one of Gordon Ramsay's episode. Butter Naan was crunchy and uncomfortable to eat, pakoras in the kadhi pakora were hard and inedible. The chai and kadhai paneer were some consolation. Tip to restaurant: only keep takeout and not dine in service on festivals that bring in high volume of people. And owner can stop saying dirty Hindi swear words to her stuff in front of customers.
