This space reminds you of the sad state of businesses on Yonge Street. For $7.5 plus tax and tips, you can sit down and have a pathetically small bowl of dessert served in a disposable container with a plastic spoon. The ingredients are mediocre at best and mostly prepackaged. The posters inside are misleading in terms of product sizing and the overall decoration is extremely tacky with an excessive amount of blinding lights that makes you question if you’re in a greenhouse. To place an order, you’d have to walk a long way to the counter and awkwardly stand around before you decide on your choice. The tables were not cleaned and there was no water service.I genuinely wish there were better dessert places that we would even have to try this place out to be disappointed. Avoid if you can.

Order takeout and get a very small bowl. . . I know it's buy one get one free, but this is too small a bowl. The store splits one bowl into two bowls and buys one get one free, right? The coconut milk sago is not tasty, very bland and tasteless. I don’t recommend it. I don’t recommend it. Don’t order it.

Went here for desserts with a few friends today. Ordered the signature ginger milk curd and 2 flavours egg waffle. Price was reasonable, but the portion was quite very small and flavour was bland. The ginger milk curd had no milk taste to it at all, and was quite watery, had 2 bites and just left it as it is, really disappointing. Egg waffle was decent. Atmosphere of the place was nice, quite spacious, also lovely decors btw, but dessert-wise, I would not recommend this place.

Owner must make a lot of efforts to attract customers. Ambience of the shop is lovely and cute with beautiful pastel colours and decors….love it. Mainly serving Chinese desserts and drinks beside some dim sum, a few Vietnamese & Chinese dishes with combo. Love everything here except very small portion and price. Shouldn’t get mango during winter in Canada because mostly sour.

I visited Jane Deer for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised! The interior of the store is welcoming and well-decorated. I ordered the taro bubble waffle to-go and they made it fresh on the spot. The waffle was delicious - light, crispy, and not too sweet. The filling also tasted like real taro. I would highly recommend this place for Asian desserts! Super affordable as well compared to some of the other dessert places in the area.
