I have lived in the neighbourhood for 30yrs and finally made my way over. The fish were excellent. Perfectly prepared and very tasty. And so were the rest of the dishes. One exception was the lettuce/tomatoe salad. Not a great time of year for tomatoes, but at this kind of higher-end establishment, take it off the menu if it isn't going to be great.Yes it's pricey. Prepare yourself. It's not worth complaining about.

Joso's is the place to go if you are craving Mediterranean food in Toronto! The ambiance is inviting, the service is impeccable, and the flavors are truly unforgettable.

The food is very bland (no flavor) and the portions are extremely small. 2 stars because the quality of ingredients/preparation/dishes do not justify the price. However, the desserts and the service were good though. This place has potential, just needs improvements.

Food and service still consistent after many years. Funky music and atmosphere. Signature dish of Croatian black ink risotto still on par. Grilled octopus tender. Amazingly prices still reasonable post Covid!

In my opinion, Joso's is the finest restaurant in Ontario...not just Toronto! The fresh fish offerings are spectacular, as is the Siciliana spaghettini in squid ink! The insalata di mare is phenomenal! The servers were even better than I remember. Can't wait to return!

We were a table of 4 widely travelled seniors. 2 of us used to frequent Joso's Coffee House in Yorkville. Service was good. Food was okay, the calamari dish was a bit overcooked. We said we wanted to have separate bills and were told it couldn't be done. When it came to pay , it turned into a 1/2 hr. nightmare trying to figure out the taxes and tips. I believe one of the group ended up paying about a 30% tip . She was the one who recommended your restaurant and she stated " that Joso's had just lost her as a customer".

I took a girl on a date here and it was really nice to see how much she liked the food and the vibes. I liked it a lot too. The grilled octopus was our favourite, it's wonderful to find a place for really nice seafood in Toronto. I impressed her by saying that even the cheapest wine on a wine list at a nice place will be really good because it's a nice place and the Coratian white i got was perfect. It's great to be right!

Joso’s is one of the best restaurants in the GTA, especially if you are in to seafood. My wife and I visit at least once a month and never disappointed by the food and especially the service, highly recommend.

Service was condescending and inattentive on a recent visit. Steak knife (for the delicious lamb chops) was too dull to cut the lamb, when the server ignored us, I used my companion's (non-steak) knife which was sharper than the steak knife! Fortunately for Joso's there's a "home crowd" that fills the room. Maybe that's why they treat non-regulars, non-celebrites with distain? The regulars seemed to be enjoying it immensely.
