We had the ham and cheese quiche, as well as the croque monsieur. The quiche was bland, and there were relatively large chunks of tough ham in it. The crust was not nearly as good as the delicate crust that Le Gourmand uses for theirs. The Croque was quite unusual in that it looks like a really thick piece of white bread, but the texture is more like a béchamel sauce ?. I also purchased a plum almond tart. The plums were kind of tough, and rather tart, and the crust was kind of hard, I believe because it was over baked a little bit. The service was very pleasant, but unfortunately, they have nowhere to sit other than outside, which isn’t great in the winter obviously… not nearly as good as I was expecting from the pictures/reviews posted on Google maps!

This might be my favourite lunch spot in Toronto. The menu is small, so whatever you get will be good. And their wine selection is perfect for anyone looking for bottles you can’t get at the LCBO.Hands down the best items on the menu are the Croque Monsieur (ham & cheese), the Pain Au Chocolat, and the vegetarian sandwiches are full of flavour (even meat lovers won’t miss the ham).Highly recommend purchasing extra Pain au Chocolat for a treat at home. They are made fresh daily, and go fast.

Baked goods and bread are the best in my opinion are best in the city. I just wish they added a sneeze guard on some of the pastries as I see customers always hovering over them.

6 dollars for a pastry. Yes, its a nice pastry but charging 6 dollars for a piece of pastry is outrageous . I will never step there

Le Conciliabule has become one of my go-to bakeries in the city. Especially on weekends when the weather is nice, the patio is lovely. Over the last few months I've probably tried about 40% of their pastries (maybe less since they always have something new!) and had to buy new pants. Pastries are beautifully made, works of art that are consistent and fresh every day. They sometimes have left over mystery bags you can get for a few dollars, which is also pretty great. Their canelés are my favorite in the city! The staff are always super helpful and make excellent coffee drinks. They have pop-up dinners on their patio from to time, which I will have to check out soon :)

One of the best brunches I've ever had in Toronto. Spectacular flavors!Edit: after several months, I returned there and I haven't changed my opinion, in fact I'd give this place 6/5 stars if possible. Every plate looks like a piece of art and they taste incredible. I'm adding a new picture to these review in case you're still wondering if it's worth your time.
