Went to listen to a band on a Sunday along with about 8 others. Wasn't expecting much, and the Linsmore lived down to its reputation. I've been in plenty of dumps all over Canada and the Linsmore is exactly as it was 40+ years ago, with the usual bar flies, no table service, no chairs, odiferous draught beer, and dirty glass. I took one so, set the glass down, and went home.

Great entertainment, cosy neighbourhood venue. Not enough chairs for the volume of patrons who attend the shows, unfortunately.

It works for a rock n roll show but there couldn't possibly be any other reason to be in there.I don't think I trust the taps here. I hope they get cleaned. I stick to cans.I am glad they survive after so many years, for the sake of nostalgia.Old school road house.

We have been going to the Lismore for over 25 years but it will be my last resort after getting there early buying drinks sitting at a table then being told we have to leave tickets where sold out on line(Should have some available at door for early comers)other friends have similar experience and may not frequent as much

The Linsmore is the oldest tavern still standing in Toronto. Great atmosphere where everyone is happy and friendly. The bar service is outstanding... Kudos to the bartender... She's awesome.If you don't like standing in a crowd, get there by 8:00 pm because there are only about five tables.
