I have to change this to what should be zero Stars. They have just completely ruined the kid's birthday. The second time they've done something like this. I ordered from food delivery, they ignored the note that said to contact me if there was a problem with any of the things so I could pick a replacement. Canceled my burger and home fries. However they left the $4 hollandaise sauce that goes worth the burger and fries and they sent my kids pancakes with no butter or syrup. So, I would never have just made my kids sitting by themselves anyway. I would have picked something different had they called me like it was marked to, But I couldn't even let my kid eat by themselves because there was no syrup and butter. And it's obscene for them to send the $4 thing of Hollandaise sauce like it was going to go on the pancakes and not on the home fries that they canceled. This is literally the second time they've done this with an order where they just cancel something that is clearly marked to call if that is out of stock. This time it has really really messed up somebody's night and I hope they feel good about it because only an idiot would think what they did was okay, even if it hadn't been marked to call me. Why would anyone want to only have one of the person 's food sent. Horrible service. It's horrible service when we go in there and really the food is mediocre at best.

Not our first time here so I can say that food is decent, but service has deteriorated and restaurant ambiance’s just bad, and very expensive too! We came in a time when there’s only one cook, and I know this sort of things happen. But if this is the case, they should let the customers know that waiting will be long. We waited for more than 30 mins and the food did not even arrive. We had to leave for another appointment and just told them we’ll pay for our coffee. Tbh if they are truly sorry for this mishap they could have offered to give the coffee for free and I would have still insisted on paying. I think they just don’t care for their customers. I would say just go to the bagel place on eglinton and that’s more value for money.

We were so excited to go to Mars diner due to the overwhelming number of positive reviews. Who doesn’t love a good retro diner?However, we arrived to an understaffed and dirty diner. There were two tables that had dirty dishes but none of the 3 staff seemed concerned with clearing the table to seat us and the group ahead of us. After waiting around for 5 minutes, I finally went up and politely asked the hostess how long she thinks it will be till we get a table. She looked at me and said “I have no idea”. I was baffled and repeated her statement, posing it as a question. She responded with “I don’t have a clue when you will be seated”.We did not linger any longer as all hopes of being seated were gone. Shame.
Great food and cozy environment. It was pretty packed given it was Saturday afternoon but we requested water 3 times during our meal and it didn't get to us until the bill came. The washrooms were visibly clean but reeked of sewage somehow and were freezing cold due to the fans. Other than that, the server was very friendly.

The foods are coming wrong, the atmosphere is good but the service is terrible, the guy here acts like he does not give a damn care to us at all. Feels like it would be better for him if we didnt even come inside. We are telling the lady to bring us a pancake with fruits on top not cooked with. For gods sake she says we dont have that and brings cooked and then later on with the guys uncaring attention towards us, he comes and changes my friends wrong taken pancake order.
