Had an absolute blast here. The staff are very chatty in a friendly way. They make you feel like a part of the family. The downstairs bathrooms could use a little work but the upstairs bathroom is great and it's none gendered. There is a decent amount of space for such a small bar and the owner is a funny guy I definitely recommend this place.

Boy is that 4.8 review every deserved. I personally thought it's a straight 5. The service is PHENOMENAL. Highly recommend The Wrath of Cass (the cocktail, not suggesting that you piss Cass off) loved the 70s and 80s movie poster and the VCRs and the PacMan table. Just a wonderful placeUpdate: few years later, still my favorite small bar. The service is so personal and so good

After a night out dining on the Danforth, my wife and I stepped back in time to grab a couple double whiskies at Mom's Basement, a local dive with the best "I Spy" sipping game in town! Sincerely, sipping on our cocktails, while pointing out 80s & 90s VHS treasures littering the bar & walls was the best endgame to our night out on Danforth. The staff were super laid back, even overhearing conversation about "The Last of Us vs Fallout" discussed with partons seated at the bar. This is a great destination to score yourself a craft brew or simple sippers (we didn't grab any grub here). Don't skip Mom's Basement for the retro vibes your night (and soul) are looking for!

Went here for some drinks with friends on a Wednesday night. The bar is very elaborately decorated, and we'll kept. The service was also good, no issues.

Place was pretty much empty and told it was at capacity. I guess if you don't have "the look" you aren't welcome there. Pretty sad experience but thankfully there's plenty of better alternatives

Need to reconnect with your inner tennager? This place will bring you right back to all that was great about growing up in the 80 - 90s. Warm and welcoming, just like that one familiar neighborhood basment where we would all get together. Pre netfix and chill..

Definitely be of the coolest bars in Toronto for its vibe alone. The decor is very retro and cosy. The bartenders are an absolute blast and are always on top of things. While food isn't served here you're more than welcome to bring food or order it to the bar from local spots.

Owner is very friendly and appreciative our us visiting. Been here a couple times and we always get fast, friendly service.
Great place for a beer on the Danforth! Great stout, rock aesthetic and really friendly staff. My friend accidentally knocked her drink over and one of the female bartenders was quick to clean it up and give my friend a little top up too. We’ll definitely be back!

Decked up like a lit 80’s Rec Room with retro classic games and food. The place brought in all the vibes that tickled the grey cells of Sheldon & Leonard in me. Amazing vibes. We tried a Left Field rotating and Truth serum in beer. This is one of the best bars in Danforth or possibly around the green line if you are on the lookout for the same. The place is right on the street so parking can be a bit of hustle on busy weekend evening but they do have spots. The place is really spacious especially if you are planning for an evening out with your gang. I did see private DnD sessions booked on a Monday as well.Definitely a recommendation for a night out especially if you are a 90s or 80s kid :)Vegetarian options: Not a whole load of options of vegetarians

Love this spot, the guy with the long hair made me feel like I was really hanging out in my friends mom's basement and he's the older brother who shows you weird cool
