This is an insulting amount of tuna. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. The miso soup was incredibly basic. No green onions and it was all one bland colour like it was made from powder or something. How is this place still in business?

The food was good pretty decent for a cheaply priced sushi place, but the service went really downhill. I used to be greeted by a server couple that were always super nice and cheerful, it really seemed like they loved what they were doing. Unfortunately, other than them, the service isn't too great and I simply don't feel a welcoming atmosphere from the place. Definitely a place to try once, especially if you aren't from Canada like me, but not a place for seconds.

A good general sushi place. Great prices and fast service. Only 4 stars because there is better sushi out there, but for average sushi nights with friends, order from here. Not the best Lance to go eat, it's really busy and not so much dine in customer oriented.Vegetarian options: Tons of veggie only dishes and maki selections.

So, being as it's March break, I decided to take my daughter downtown for some mom-daughter time. We originally went down to try out an ice cream spot we saw on Instagram and decided to grab lunch with my sister. There were quite a few sushi spots on this stretch of Bloor Street and initially, I wasn't sure which one to choose. I jumped online to view the lunch specials and although there was another place that was slightly cheaper, I went with Monkey Sushi because I couldn't believe what was included in the lunch bento(everything I'm used to having with dinner bentos). Let just say, I was not disappointed in the least. The portion size was amazing, the rolls were big, fresh and simply delicious. I couldn't believe how good the food was, given the price and the unassuming look of the place. Like most of the sushi spots and other stores on this stretch, it's small and doesn't have any unnecessary bells and whistles. The lady who served us was very friendly, polite and fast. I don't have any complaints and the fact that they're prepping take-out orders at the front didn't impact my experience. If you're in the area, it's well worth dropping by. Heck, I live in Scarborough and I'm already trying to plan my next visit ?. An overall great experience and fantastic food!

The food is really cheap and afforable, it taste pretty nice which is really worth with the price. But there's this weird fishy smell all over the place. The service is fine, but you would need to wait for a long while and ask couple times for the water and ordering. But overall it's fine with a cheap price to enjoy some sushi!
