One of the best Sashimi's I had. It was kind of pricey but the flavour was excellent!

If I could give this place -1 star I would. I’ve been coming to this place consistently for the last couple of years, but took a break during Covid. I was very confused by my experience today and then I found out they switched owners, and it made more sense. The basic sushi roll they could not do. Everything was falling apart or sticking together. They also put some nasty sauce on all their rolls… we waited 45 minutes for our food and there were only 2 other customers. The food we got vs what was mentioned in the menu was also different. Example, bento box promised Japchae and we got cucumber rolls??? Tempuras were fried at all the wrong temperature.Overall, highly would NOT recommend until they hire a real chef. Honestly, a 3 year old could put together a sushi roll better than them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

My favourite sushi place on college. They pay attention to the small details and every part of the meal feels special. Their salad and miso soup are both exceptional! Great since so many places normally forget about the small parts of a meal.

The good:Fair price, fresh fish, fast service. Great fry on the tempura shrimpThe bad:Some rolls fell apart. Sashimi slices were too large. A bone was found in a roll where no bones should have been (!)The takeaway:Small but good restaurant. Not top quality but close enough for the price

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. (May 2022)When they used to be on Baldwin, it was pretty good. Now it’s very very disappointing.

The torched sushi is AMAZING! Spicy, sweet and tempura also good too.

New ownership of ND sushi is just not the same anymore. Ive been coming to ND sushi since it was first located on Baldwin and it was by far the best sushi in the city and made by Japanese chefs. Now the quality has gone down drastically with very mediocre food and sashimi thats not even cut properly. Very distraught that the old owners are gone and disappointed that the quality is no longer there.

New owners. Quality has gone down hill drastically and is more experience. Not worth it. Was going to ND for over 8 years, really disappointed.Otoro sushi in Bloor west is the new jam. Check it out, Japanese owned and very similar to the old ND sushi quality.

Service is amazing, ordering takeout via phone was very fast. Their sashimi quality is also one of the best I’ve had in Toronto- plus the way they make their rice is delicious, the ratio between the sushi vinegar to rice is on point and the rice is never grainy/ mushy!! Definitely one of my go to places whenever I crave sushi(their prices are definitely reasonable for the quality they serve)!

EDIT 2021: the New ownership of ND sushi has drastically decreased the quality of my favourite sushi place, so much so that I will not be a returning customer after 10 years as a loyal patron. The menu has expanded from what used to be a small, carefully curated, high quality list to a large, bloated, poor quality, generic menu. The rice is crunchy, stale and hard while the fish is of low quality and poorly sliced. All my favourite rolls were tasteless and not made to the same standard as it was under old management.I am terribly disappointed as ND sushi used to be a hidden gem in Toronto and is now well below average.—————————-ND Sushi has some of the best sushi for its price point in the GTA. Whenever I go I get the sushi lunch or sushi C which consists of a sushi and maki combination. This combination never fails to impress as the rice is perfectly cooked and the fish tastes fresh and not rubbery. Often times I will choose a different maki roll and I haven't tried one that I haven't liked. I believe that this quality is maintained by the owner- a Korean woman who commands the kitchen and keeps the front staff running smoothly. The only slightly disappointing dish I tried was the sashimi salad which contained a few pieces of lettuce and five slices of fish. The disappointment came from the tiny size of the dish and the price point which was I believe high for what was provided. However, the quality of the fish was as always, excellent. At busy periods the place is always packed so making a reservation is advised. Also, unfortunately ND Sushi isn't open on Sundays and many times I have just forgone a Sunday Sushi lunch because nothing else compares!
