A wonderful dining experience at a reasonable price for a Friday date night. Each dish was made with care, and the service seamless, as it filled up through the night. Go for any of their seafood dishes, you will not regret it!

The Old York Tavern suddenly finds itself amongst million dollar studio condos and has updated itself accordingly. Only a 3 wait staff are needed to cover the tiny trapezoidal footprint, but all were friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and wine list. Small shareable dishes were flavorful, with the lime and pepper shallot calamari being a standout. Limited selection might prevent a second visit amongst the growing options in the 'hood.

Cute little place, they have just six items you can choose from, the issues that I don't eat bacon, show my food options are limited. Add the French toast which is good but a little too sweet for me.

Absolutely love the renos and the new energy given to this space. The staff are so kind and very knowledgeable. You can really tell that they put a lot of heart and soul into this restaurant. The food is also absolutely incredible. I would definitely recommend for any occasion.
Honestly- homiest restaurant. The vibes are so chill and so friendly, feels like I’m in my friends house. The food is sublime, we’ve been multiple times and every time it’s incredible. Can’t wait to go back for some patio time.

It has a lot of potential but falls flat in several way. The service from the get go was lackluster - waited 30-35 mins only to have to call the server over to take our drink order. Had to get the servers attention every time we wanted to order another drink/food. Seemed like the server was being inconvenienced to do the job. The food was mediocre (the calamari was the only saving grace). We had high hopes for the Salmon tartare but it fell flat - no flavour. The drinks seem overpriced. When you're ordering a $19 espresso mratini, you would at least expect it to come in a proper martini glass, not a glass half the size...The place has potential but is lacking in the most key areas..

I went to meet an old friend for lunch at The Stack'd Market and it was closed? Weird, so we went for a walk and happened upon The Old York, what a delightful find. I'm glad the market was closed as we always like to try new places. We are two gabby ladies who love to sit and chat and eat and chat. Our server Alisha (I think), was lovely and didn't rush us or hover over us, it was perfect service. We just had coffee, but it was great coffee and Alisha kept pouring. The menu was very interesting, there were many things I wanted to try but our server came by and said there was also a daily special which was a lamb burger with Baba Ghanoush, I immediately decided that is something I need to try. It was the best lamb I have ever had and one of the best burgers I have ever had period. My friend had a squash and goat cheese plate which looked amazing and she said it was divine. So, happy we went for a walk and found it. They have a lovely patio as well which we have already decided we will visit when the weather gets warmer - although it actually is open now and there were a few people out there, just too chilly for us older gals lol.

Nice quaint vibe, good music, great food, and excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit. Pub location is great too, can easily drive, transit, bike/scooter and of course walk. Loved seeing the old street signs inside the pub, great nostalgic touch!Vegetarian options: AvailableKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Available.
