This is a casserole-style (Detroit/Grandma style) pizza shop located inside "Chef's Hall" (111 Richmond St. W.), in the same stall where Piano Piano had their pop-up pizza shop. They have a south-as Ordered their plain/cheese "Greazy Cheesy" in their large size (10" x 14") which was $35. This is one of the most expensive Detroit-style pizzas (For the same size, Descendant charges $28 for their "Cheese" pizza, and Renaissance charges $27 for their "Cheese" pizza). The cheese was abundunt, and uniquely, was also grilled along the outer edges/sides of the pizza. The dough was more of a light firmer dough, compared to the "marshmellowy" texture of Renaissance's dough. The tomato sauce was the weak point: It was very sparsely placed on top. With the prominent cheese texture and flavours, the tomato sauce was badly needed, and the picture on their menu confirms the tomato sauce is supposed to be alot more abundant. The flavour was an atypical tomato flavour with chunkier texture. Their was a wonderful garnishing of oregano and/or thyme. The underside was a nice consistent light brown colour (unlike the patchy very dark brown of Renaissance). At $35, this is the most expensive "Plain/Cheese" Detroit-style 10"x14" (Large) pizza in the general Toronto area. It is located on the ground floor of an office building that houses Google, so perhaps its a pizzeria aimed at the business-crowd. The other alternative Detroit-style pizza in the Downtown area is Renaissance pizza, and their $28 10"x14" "Cheese" pie is, overall, superior in every possible category. Would recommend this pizza if in the area, since there is no decent pizza available in the immediate area (except perhaps eastward at Saks Food Hall at Eaton Centre, located near Yonge/Richmond). Flavour profiles include South-Asian (Butter Baddie), McDonalds Big Mac (Mac Daddy).

Pizza was delicious. I got a combo with the pear pizza and ceasar salad and ordered the truffle mushroom pizza for later. A bit on the pricey side but worth it. There was quite a wait for my order but they were very busy and staff worked non-stop. I would return.

Perfect balance. I ordered a small size sweet pear. I got a fresh pizza with lots of cheese, pear, nothing extra. The girl who cooked was sociable and smiling, she told me to take a sweet pear and made it perfectly. I came from Poland to try the local cuisine. A pleasant surprise was that the girl spoke Polish. Good luck Oswald pizza!

Simply not good. Tastes like something from the frozen aisle. Surprised at how well this place is rated considering all the other good pizza in the city.

This is a cute little pizza shop located inside of Chef's Hall. We ordered a slice of the butter baddie which consists of butter chicken gravy, red onions, roasted tandoori chicken, mozzarella, cilantro and mint chutney mayo. It had a decent amount of chicken bits, but I wish it tasted more curry forward.

$25 for a small pizza is overkill. Pizza was okay, not cooked in the middle but burned on the sides.

Just awful! It’s bland, cold and has a weird tang taste to the cheese. Simply poor quality pizza.
