I discovered that Parallel was just around the corner, and have heard great things about their halva.Now, as a child I never truly appreciated the subtle nuances that make a sesame tahini snack delicious, but as an adult my taste buds have been refined, and I was all in favour of the variety of halvas available at Parallel.I went for the pistachio halva because I was feeling nutty, and then saw they have salads to go. And I thought - as an adult I should have at least one meal with some form of vegetable, so I bought the Parallel salad and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Superlative food. Creatively rendered middle eastern food. Presentation of everything was beautiful. The server was patient and very helpful, especially supporting my friend with dietary restrictions. One of the best meals I've had in recent memory.

We came here as a party of 4 and sat at the bar. The food was amazing but the service was top notch. I recommend sitting at the bar! The bartender is great - we got to try new cocktails in development and played a fun game with him to name the new cocktail.The food was amazing - we shared the parallel salad, falafel and a featured sandwich. Everything was so good.Would definitely come back and would highly recommend this spot!

Food is excellent but I want to single out the staff for their kindness. I came in just beyond last call from a funeral for a friend who loved Israli food, and they made it happen with a totally welcoming feel that was amazing at that moment. Victoria in particular I give special marks to. Incredibly sweet and also I wildly over ordered and she helped me reign it in. Highly recommended and I will definitely return.
They changed the menu ‘recently' but the online menu isn't updated, so was very disappointed that they no longer had the braised beef (replaced with kefta) when we arrived. They were completely inflexible with the menu to suit our needs/tastes after no longer offering what we came there for. Though the schnitzel is great, we won't be back.

We enjoyed everything we ordered. The Mezze platter was fresh, falafels were the best we have ever had (seriously!) And the harissa beef was unlike any other beef we have had. 10/10 meal

Went here for dinner with my husband. Food was good. Portions are a good size. The location seems shady but it’s a unique vibe. We sat in the enclosed patio. It was great. Dessert is a must.

Parallel lives up to its name entirely. Every time I eat there I'm impressed over and over. The food is excellent. The portions extremely generous. And the service is very good as well. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Yummy!!
