Burrito's and tacos are so tasty here that I can't explain. Highly recommend.

It's a great location. They offer incredible service and very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. The chicken taco head way too many bones in it but other than that everything else is delicious

First things first… the food here is very good. With the exception of the guac (which was cold from the fridge and not freshly made), everything was excellent. The flavours were all very well balanced, and even the spicy dishes were not overbearing. Just the right amount of heat.Food aside… this experience left a lot to be desired. Empty dishes were left at our table (not bussed), my partner’s dinner order was taken and the server left in a rush before I could order mine. Ordering anything required actively flagging down the server… a sharing dish was delivered without dining dishes/napkins etc.honestly the food is very good overall I just think they need more staff

Don’t order on Uber eats. It’s been over 2 hours and our food is still being prepared. I feel bad for the Uber driver sitting there waiting to pick it up. I can’t comment on food quality as we haven’t received it yet!!

The atmosphere is very cute. Staff are very kind. Food was very flavourful. Highly recommend getting the chicken wings, the salsa with chips, the fish tacos (slightly oily), and the tres leche cake. You won’t regret it!

We used to love Playa Cabana, but unfortunately we did not have a good experience.- We were sat without menus- Our food came before our drinks- The Tuna Ceviche came with thick purple tortilla chips that were not good. They must of ran out of the regular yellow corn chips.- The chicken quesadilla came without chicken- The Baja fish came with hard purple tortillas that fell apart, instead of the normal soft tortillas. It could've been an off night, but this many mistakes is too much for us to ever want to go back

No matter the location you end up at, you will be extremely happy at Playa Cabana. Dave created the perfect menu. The food is extremely flavourful and authentic. I'm very lucky to have a birthday in early May, because Playa celebrates Cinco de Mayo. The energy is always vibrant. The drinks are delicious. The staff through the years have all focused on keeping the experience and quality of food and drinks immaculate, and it shows. Probably will end up at Cantina tomorrow! The huevos rancheros are calling me!

Wow, I just had the most amazing experience ever! I had the pleasure of tasting the most delicious chocolate cake that was gluten-free, made by the best chef in town! The service was top-notch and truly exceptional. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience!

Their enchiladas are just amazing. I’ve been there 3 times and I always order it. Must try ! Their tacos are honestly just okay. Service is really good. They are always so nice and friendly and attentive. The restaurant decor is also super cute. The only thing I would mention is if you end up sitting in the high chairs, it’s extremely uncomfortable and your back will hurt, the chairs give you no support. I was seated on high chairs every time since those accommodate party of more than 4. That’s the only thing I think they could really fix.

It's okay, neither good nor bad...the service is slow but because there isn't enough staff, the truth is, but the kids do their best to serve quickly but octopuses aren't

First things first; the best Nachos I've ever had. Other than that, the food was consistently excellent. I will definitely be back. Another gem saved on the list.

The food is very delicious, the chilaquiles with crispy pork are delicious, the beef barbacoa tacos are also very delicious. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because apparently they don't have food that is not spicy at all (for children), we ordered the children's version of barbacoa tacos that in theory the pico de gallo was not spicy, but it did have jalapeño so the boys only ate tortilla chips. Then we ordered 2 orders of churros and they only charged us for one because of the pico de gallo for the boys. 100% recommended place and we will be returning.

Took out an order of chorizo nachos which was superb. With a healthy heap of meat chorizos coloured green, authentic queso fresco, poblano peppers and avocados. Something worthy for superbowl.Vegetarian options: Vegetation options was available.Parking: Construction pylons infront of the store that makes it a bit difficult to find parking.

I had the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant at Playa Cabana Cantina. I decided to celebrate my birthday on Feb 2nd. They explicitly mentioned on an email that they would not charge me for bringing a cake, but right after we sang happy birthday, they went to our table and said we would be charged $35.Also, they were confused about an order and brought and additional churro to our table. Nobody had ordered that churro, so we explained the servers that. Instead of apologizing and accepting their mistake, the manager simply ignored what we said, left the churro on our table and decided to charge us for that.I felt extremely disrespected.

On Feb 2nd my wife reserved a big table at Playa Cabana to celebrate her birthday. We followed all rules imposed by them (which involved sending two emails, filling out a form, providing credit card details upfront…).On the email where they confirmed the reservation, they explicitly said that we could bring our own cake and that they would not charge anything and provide us with plates and cutlery. As soon as we were finished singing happy bday, the waiter came to our table saying that we had not informed about the cake (which was not the case) and that they’d be charging us between 30 and 35 CAD as a “cake fee”.I showed them (the waiter and the manager) the email where the person who took the reservation confirmed we’d not be charged. They tried to argue with several (invalid) arguments to make us pay for the fee, including quoting a portion of the email where they informed that “availability was subject to change”. I asked her what availability had to do with bringing a cake, to which she stayed silent. While they (reluctantly) accepted not charging for the cake we brought, near the end of our stay they messed up the order of churros and brought one extra portion nobody had ordered (all orders had already been served). The manager, after hearing from everyone on the table that nobody had ordered that portion, simply left the churros on our table and turned her back to our complaints (literally and in a rude manner). To prevent any further disappointment and stress (at this point my wife was almost crying after having her party ruined), I’ve simply told everyone on the table that it was okay and I’d pay for that. The lack of professionalism was clear in many levels. From the messy reservation process, messed up orders, angry faces from the waiters and inability to handle unexpected circumstances (which have been created by them, not us).We will never return there, despite the food being very good (Koodos to the kitchen staff) and decoration being great. I wouldn’t be surprised if this had to do with us being immigrants from (you guessed it) a Latin American country.I hope you take this feedback seriously and do a very extensive retraining of your staff, who was rude, didn’t believe us (despite email evidence) and forced us to pay for something we didn’t order.
