Had a dinner date at Pomegranate last Friday and was absolutely blown away. We kicked things off with the Mirza Qasemi & Barbary Flatbread, a smoky eggplant appetizer that was sheer delight and perfectly set the tone for the main course.My entrée, the Shirin Polo with Braised Lamb Shank, was a flavor explosion - aromatic saffron rice mingled with nuts, barberries, and slivered orange peel, paired with a tender lamb shank. The orange peel added a delightful zestiness that made the rice even more delicious.Already eager for my next visit and would highly recommend Pomegranate to anyone looking for an exceptional Persian dining experience in Toronto.
It is a beautiful environment representing Iranian culture—however, there is low-quality food and unprofessional staff. I tried a few dishes, none of which were delicious. It was like frozen food that had been defrosted for serving. I asked them to split our bill, and they said, "Do it yourself." It is the least thing every restaurant can do when serving a group of people.

Stars is just for the Iranian traditional atmosphere and decoration.Service was awful. Servants rushed us to collect the dishes even while we hadn't finished. They threw the receipt on table which we were shocked ? they didn't even ask if we want to split or not or if we are ready to pay or not. We were waiting to sit and they rudly told us to step aside for them to pass ? no hospitality at all.Food portion was less than all iranian restaurants and meat smells bad ?I could say that I just like the decoration and hope they care more about their customers.
