Fabulous neighbourhood bar with a very lively environment and friendly staff. Got the lobster Benny and pancakes for brunch. The lobster Benny was a bit too salty but the pancakes with sausage & bacon was very on point. Both dishes were huge and kept me full for the entire day. Most definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Great spot, friendly waitress and great food. We had oysters and the red snapper with risotto. It tasted really great. Has a fun vibe to the place.

We were in the area for a concert at the Opera House, so we figured we'd grab a bite before the show. We were big fans of Prohibition's Eglinton location before it closed down, so it made sense that we wanted to check out the brand's original location. We showed up around 6:00 and the place was quite full. There were no tables to be had, so we snagged a spot at the bar. It happened to be happy hour, so I grabbed myself a pint for six bucks. I wound up getting another one a little later, too. Two pints for $12! Can't go wrong with that. For food, I decided to order the Brisket Poutine ("house cut french fries topped with cheese curds, brisket and our house gravy"). It arrived a little while later and sure looked appetizing. And it tasted it as good as it looked. The perfectly cooked fries are complemented by plentiful curds and an impressive amount of tender brisket. The whole thing is tied together with rich, flavorful gravy. I enjoyed the heck out of my meal, and this joint will definitely be my go-to spot when I'm in the area.

We had great food and good drinks, and enjoyed our time. Portions were enormous. Good service.

This is one of my favourite spots in the city. You can usually find a spot at the bar even when it’s busy. I really like their steak frites. The service is always good. It’s a fun casual spot to hangout.Recently went for breakfast. I had the salmon Benny. The eggs were cooked perfectly with a nice runny inside.Good coffee too.I don’t love their nachos. I had them and I found the cheese was too far cooked.

Not sure if our server was having a bad day but her sass was a total turn off for our party. Food was good. The experience however could have been better.

Great menu well executed. Mussels in Calabrese sauce were excellent with one hell of a kick.

I probably go to Prohibition 2x per month. The store next door is a pot shop and almost every time I visit the restaurant, there are these skanky pot smokers, whom I assume are pot shop employees, standing beside the restaurant entrance. You have to walk through a fog of weed smoke to get into the restaurant.Solution: Hire a doorman and give these little losers a slap if they smoke out the customers.

Prohibition serves one of the best roast salmon dishes i have ever eaten, the staff and management all have the happy gene, and service is spectacular. Lots to love!

Really great gastropub with an excellent beer selection including a few house brews and delirium on draught! The food is quite decent and the staff are very friendly. Lots of TVs and seating.Had a late lunch and dinner with a few beers so the bill came to around $400 for 2 people. You could probably get away spending around $40-50

Chris was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The food was stellar and so delicious. The music kind of ruined the vibe, it was far too loud for casual discussion and the DJ wasn't taking requests, and didn't seem to even know the music we were requesting, but overall it was a fantastic experience, would definitely go back next time I'm in Toronto
