One of my favorite ramen in the city. Bless their hearts for trying to make tsukumen but it is a fry cry from real tsukumen (think Rokurinsha in Tokyo). Not real tsukumen noodles imoRegardless, a fantastic place to end a night of drinking in Little Italy

First time trying Isshin because of the amount of reviews and the high rating. To be honest, it was such an expensive meal, and the ramen wasn't really anything special. I didn't really get the hype at all. We ordered the takoyaki, which was mainly flour and only a little bit of octopus. My boyfriend got the red dragon ramen and I got the shio ramen. It was meh. If you're looking for authentic japanese ramen, this is not it.

Had a Lovely time. I really enjoyed the Ramen. I usually have a pallet for the Spicy Ramen at Kinton but I liked Ramen Isshin as well. The one thing I really liked is that they have veggies in their non-veg ramens unlike Kinton.

This place never disappoints! Top quality Ramen restaurant. Their bowls are always good. The noodles are bouncy the broth is full of flavour and depth. The ramen pairs exceptionally well with the dry Japanese Beers and the desserts like the mochi ice cream give a delicate touch to a satisfying meal. Easily in my top 3 Ramen spots in the GTA.

I've been to Tokyo and this is the closest thing to their ramen that I've had in North America. The music, atmosphere, and especially the taste of the food was on point. Draft Sapporo was great too.

Probably one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. This place has been heralded as a hot spot ramen shop amongst the city. Its best to attend the restaurant on non peak hours or face the misery of waiting. Even going here on a non busy time it was still a wait. Thats fine. The interior is cool, its furnished well and has a homely feel fit for cozy comfort to heat with noodles. Ideal for colder days. Our server was a nice woman as well, nice to speak to.The food here was a big miss. The broth and noodles weren’t good. The broth was super salty, tangy and spicy rather than flavourful like a ramen should be. The ratio is also a bit weird with the noodles being so minuscule in comparison with the broth and other toppings. The food here didn’t even taste like Japanese ramen but almost more Chinese. Each bowl costs you over $20, netting you a medium sized bowl with little meat and noodles with too much emphasis on smaller filler toppings.

Came in with high expectations and had the spicy miso ramen. The noodles were done perfectly, broth was good. The pork slices were surprisingly thin, not at all like I’m used to at the majority of ramen places. That along with the fact that other toppings aren’t included made the bowl pretty underwhelming overall. With tip it’s pretty pricey, so you’re not getting much value imo. I tried my friend’s vegetarian ramen and the noodles were also completely different from mine—too soft and overcooked. I hate to say but I think this may be one of the many overhyped Toronto spots thanks to social media.
