We got there 10 minutes before opening time, with my wife. The staff helped us out and took our order. We enjoyed the jerk chicken sandwich, bread was rich and fluffy. Jerk chicken seasoned perfectly, soft, and pull apart. The jerk chicken was a little spicy but not too overpowering. The flavours were hard to describe but you can definitely taste the pepper and the veg mixed together cools it down. I got the bbq chicken last time and it was a solid 4/5, the jerk chicken Sandwich competes with the best in the city at a 5/5 honest review rating. I would heavily recommend this place to people looking for Caribbean food, the land of smile. ?

I got food from this place using Too Good To Go. I was blown away by the flavour and quality of the food! It was stew chicken, very flavourful and not bland at all unlike some other places. Rice and peas were great as well. They give you steam veg, which I prefer over the typical coleslaw most Jamaican places in the GTA serve. I will definitely be back, can honestly say its one the best Caribbean places I’ve tried in the downtown core.

Roywoods is an absolute favourite grab and go spot in cityplace. It’s consistent, the staff are friendly, the food slaps, prices are reasonable, and the “small” portion is definitely enough to fill up on.
This is the best chicken I’ve ever had. My partner and I live out of town and we always make an effort to come to Roywoods. The BBQ chicken changed my life, I swear.
